Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya pemahaman anak dengan hambatan pendengaran dalam memahami bacaan (membaca pemahaman). Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut diperlukan upaya pengembangan strategi baru. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran membaca pemahaman bagi anak dengan hambatan pendengaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Mix Methods. Tahapan penelitian dilakukan secara hirarki, artinya tahapan penelitian pertama akan mempengaruhi tahapan penelitian selanjutnya dalam rangka mencapai tujuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi pembelajaran membaca pemahaman yang telah dikembangkan efektif diterapkan pada anak dengan hambatan pendengaran kelas 4 di SLB-B Prima Bakti Mulya tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil belajar siswa yang mengalami peningkatan dari uji coba pertama hingga uji coba keempat. Sedangkan berdasarkan uji wilcoxon diketahui nilai Z hitung = -2, 201 dengan Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed)= 0,028 dengan taraf signifikansi (α) 5%. Nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed)= 0, 028 < α = 0,05 maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima karena nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) < α = 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, strategi yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini dapat dijadikan alternatif strategi pembelajaran membaca pemahaman pilihan bagi guru atau praktisi yang melayani anak dengan hambatan pendengaran pada jenjang sekolah dasar kelas 4.; This research is motivated by the low understanding of children with hearing impairment in reading comprehension. To overcome these problems required effort to develop a new strategy. Therefore, the objective of this research is to develop a strategy of learning in reading comprehension for children with hearing impairment. The method used in Mix Methods. Stages of research conducted in the hierarchy, meaning that the first stages of research will affect the research stage further in order to achieve the research objectives. The results showed that the application of learning strategy in reading comprehension has been developed effectively applied to children with hearing impairment at SLB Prima Bakti Mulya in grade 4-B, the academic year of 2015/2016. This is evident from the results of student learning has increased from the first to the fourth trial. While based on the Wilcoxon test known the value of Z count = -2, 201 with Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.028 with a significance level (α) of 5%. Asymp Value. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0, 028 <α = 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted because Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) <Α = 0.05. Based on the research results, strategy developed in this study can be used as an alternative learning strategy in reading comprehension for teachers or practitioners who serve children with hearing impairment in grade 4 at elementary school level.
