Abstract

Keterampilan menulis merupakan keterampilan paling sulit bagi siswa, selain itu keterampilan ini dianggap sebagai keterampilan yang begitu menyita waktu dan tenaga sehingga tidak sedikit siswa yang memilih untuk tidak menulis kecuali hanya untuk memenuhi tugas dari guru di sekolah. Tujuan dari Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil keterampilan menulis karangan narasi dan deskripsi siswa dalam keterampilan menulis karangan narasi dan deskripsi, proses pembelajaran dan membandingkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa di kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan menulis siswa karena kegiatan menulis dianggap tidak menarik bagi siswa dan kurangnya pembiasaan dari pihak terkait serta banyaknya kesulitan yang dialami siswa ketika menulis. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-postest nonequivalent control group design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak dua kelas. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui tes yang terdiri dari pretest dan posttest berupa hasil karangan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode ini berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis karangan narasi dan deskripsi siswa. Berdasarkan penemuan tersebut sebaiknya metode ini digunakan dalam materi dan pelajaran lain dengan alokasi waktu yang lebih lama.;Writing skills are the most difficult skill for students, in addition to these skills is regarded as a skill that is so time and energy so that not a few students who choose not to write but only to fulfill the duty of a teacher in the school. The purpose of this study was to determine the narration essay writing skills profiles and descriptions of students in essay writing skills of narration and description, the learning process and compare the narration essay writing skills of students in the experimental class and control. This research is motivated by the lack of writing skills students for writing activities considered of interest to students and lack of habituation of the parties involved and the many difficulties experienced by students when writing. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Subjects in this study were two classes. Data were collected through tests that consisted of pretest and posttest be fabricated students. The results showed that this method affect the narration essay writing skills and description of the student. Based on these findings we recommend this method is used in materials and other subjects with a longer time allocation.
