Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji efektivitas model Penddikan dan Pelatihan (Diklat) inkuiri berjenjang untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogi inkuiri guru IPA SMP. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode Research & Development, meliputi lima tahap yaitu tahap analisis, tahap perencanaan, tahap pengembangan, tahap implementasi dan tahap evaluasi. Dari tahap analisis dihasilkan data analisis kebutuhan guru yang kemudian digunakan sebagai dasar pengembangan model Diklat. Pada tahap perencanaan dihasilkan rancangan kompetensi yang akan dilatihkan dan tujuan program. Pada tahap pengembangan dihasilkan model diklat inkuiri berjenjang meliputi jenjang dasar dan jenjang lanjut dan instrumen pengukuran hasil pembelajaran. Pada tahap implementasi dilakukan Diklat dengan partisipan sebanyak 36 guru yang dipilih secara purposive sample. Pada tahap evaluasi dilakukan pengukuran dampak pembelajaran dan ketercapaian tujuan pengembangan model. Uji coba model menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen one group pretest-posttest design. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi pedagogi guru dalam menyusun RPP dan mengajar IPA berbasis inkuiri pada kedua jenjang diklat untuk setiap level meningkat secara signifikan (p<.05) dengan effect size yang besar. Diklat Inkuiri Berjenjang relevan (97%) dengan kebutuhan guru sebagai pengajar IPA, efektif (99%) untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogi inkuiri guru, bermanfaat (92%) untuk pengembangan guru, dan dapat diimplementasikan (99%) di sekolah. Kata kunci: kompetensi pedagogi, pendidikan dan pelatihan, inkuiri berjenjang A study was conducted to develop and investigate the effectiveness of a Real Incremental Inquiry Training Model (RIITM) to improve in pedagogical inquiry competency at the secondary level of science teacher. The study was conducted using the method of Research & Development, includes five phases namely analysis, design, develop implemetation and evaluation. The design of the program was commenced through need analysis which used as a basic to develop a model. In the implementation phase used quasi-experimental one group pre-test post-test design. The RIITM covers the basic level and advanced level. The author selected the purposive sample, a total of 36 teachers participated in the study. Results reveal that the pedagogical inquiry competency of science teachers in preparing lesson plans and teaching skill competency at both levels and for every level increase significantly (p <0,05) with a large effect size. It is also found that RIITM relevant (97%) with the needs of the teachers in the field, effective (99%) to improve pedagogical inquiry teacher competency, useful ((92%) for teacher profesional development, and implementabel (99%) at school. The RIITM model may be advocated as a better tool for profesional development of science teacher.
