Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena di kalangan siswa sekolah menengah atas (SMA/SMK) yang belum memiliki motivasi untuk belajar dan bersaing dengan yang lain secara sehat. Banyak siswa masih memiliki sikap untuk bergantung kepada yang lain. Mereka cenderung belum dapat melakukan strategi self regulated learning dengan baik. Secara umum penelitian dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self regulated learning dengan motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif, desain statistik korelasional. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Berdasarkan panduan penentuan jumlah anggota sampel, jumlah anggota sampel yang diambil yaitu sebanyak 191 siswa dari populasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan: 1) self regulated learning siswa secara umum berada pada kategori sedang; 2) motivasi belajar siswa secara umum berada pada kategori sedang; 3) terdapat hubungan yang kuat dan signifikan antara self regulated learning dengan motivasi belajar. Implikasi penelitian berupa rancangan pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang dapat digunakan untuk menumbuhkan motivasi belajar dengan menerapkan strategi self regulated learning. Kata kunci: Self Regulated Learning, Motivasi Belajar This research is based on the phenomenon of unmotivated students in learning and the absence of fair competition among students. There are many students who still depend on others. They cannot apply self regulated learning strategy well. Generally, this study was conducted to investigate the correlation between self regulated learning and learning motivation of 11th students of SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi Class Year 2015/2016. This research applies quantitative approach and descriptive method by using correlation statistic design. The sample were taken by using simple random sampling. The sum of taken sample are 191 students. The result of this research shows: 1) students’ self regulated learning strategy is generally categorized in middle level; 2) students’ learning motivation is generally categorized in middle level; 3) there is significant correlation between self regulated learning and learning motivation. The implication of this research is the design of guidance and counseling service establishment which can be used to increase learning motivation by applying self regulated learning strategy.
