Abstract
Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah belum optimalnya produktivitas kerja guru di SMK Pasundan 3 kota Bandung. Hal tersebut ditandai dengan fluktuasi ketidakhadiran guru serta masih adanya kinerja guru yang dinilai belum maksimal yang disebabkan oleh belum optimalnya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua variabel yaitu gaya kepemimpinan demokratis kepala sekolah (X) dan produktivitas kerja guru (Y). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai efektivitas gaya kepemimpinan demokratis kepala sekolah, memperoleh gambaran mengenai tingkat produktivitas kerja guru, dan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh dari gaya kepemimpinan demokratis kepala sekolah terhadap produktivitas kerja guru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksplanatory survey. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara penyebaran angket dengan model skala likert, yang dianalisis menggunakan regresi sederhana. Anggota sampel yaitu 33 guru tidak tetap di SMK Pasundan 3 kota Bandung. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji regresi linier sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapatkan informasi bahwa gaya kepemimpinan demokratis kepala sekolah berada pada kategori efektif dan produktivitas kerja guru berada pada kategori tinggi. Selanjutnya, data yang diperoleh berpola linier. Dari hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh bahwa gaya kepemimpinan demokratis kepala sekolah berpengaruh positif terhadap produktivitas kerja guru di SMK Pasundan 3 kota Bandung. Kata Kunci: Gaya Kepemimpinan Demokratis Kepala Sekolah, Produktivitas Kerja Guru The problem arose in this research was the productivity of teachers’ work in SMK Pasundan 3 Bandung which had not yet been optimum. It could be seen from the fluctuation of teachers’ absences and the teachers’ minimum performance which was caused by the headmaster’s leadership that had not yet been optimum. There were two variables in this research, that were, a headmaster’s democratic leadership style (X) and the productivity of teachers’ work (Y). The purpose of this research were to identify the effectivity of the headmaster’s democratic leadership style, to identify the level of teachers’ work productivity, and to find out the influence of the headmaster’s democratic leadership style to the productivity of teachers’ work. The method used in this research was explanatory survey design. The data were collected by distributing the questionnaire with likert scale model, analysed by a simple regression. The sample in this research were 33 honorary teachers in SMK Pasundan 3 Bandung. The data were analysed by using simple linear regression test. Based on the result of this research, it was found that the headmaster’s democratic leadership style was on the ‘effective’ category and the the productivity of teachers’ work was on the ‘high’ category. The data obtained were linear. From the hypothesis test, it was obtained that the influence of the headmaster’s democratic leadership style to the productivity of teachers’ work in SMK Pasundan 3 Bandung was positive.
