Abstract
Berdasarkan kenyataan yang terjadi sekarang ini bahwa sebagian guru belum optimal dalam membantu meningkatkan kemampuan, potensi, bakat, minat,kepribadian dan prestasi, terutama dalam kesiapan kerja siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan tentang peran guru bimbingan konseling dalam kesiapan kerja siswa untuk masuk ke dunia industri, hubungan peran guru BK dengan kesiapan kerja siswa.. Metode dan jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil yang diharapkan penelitian ini adalah peran guru BK dapat membantu siswa memahami dirinya, mengenal tentang lapangan kerja,mengembangkan sikap positif terhadap bekerja. Penelitian ini menyiratkan,bahwa lebih memperhatikan dalam mengembangkan program di bidang bimbingan karier di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan dalam rangka meningkatkan kesiapan kerja siswa untuk memilih dan memasuki dunia kerja atau industri. Kata kunci: Peran Guru, Kesiapan Kerja Siswa, Dunia Kerja/ Industri Based on the reality of the matter is that most teachers now not optimal in helping to improve the ability, potential, talents, interests, personality and achievements, especially in the job readiness of students. This study aimed to reveal the role of the teacher as a mentor in the job readiness of students to enter the industrial world, the role of teacher relationships with students job readiness .The method and type of this research is descriptive quantitative. The expected outcome of this research is the role of the teacher as a mentor can help students understand themselves, know about job opportunities, developing a positive attitude towards work. This study implies that more attention in developing programs in the field of career guidance in vocational high school in order to improve the work readiness of students to select and enter the workforce or industry.
