Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang didasari oleh kenyataan yang ada. Bahwa masih banyak ditemukan tingkat keterampilan membaca disekolah dasar masih rendah. Dalam penelitian ini, memaparkan proses pelaksanaan penelitian mulai dari perencanan, penentuan intrumen, proses, dan hasil proses. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh bentuk rencana pembelajaran dan gambaran tentang proses pelaksanaan dengan menerapkan metode SAS dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa kelas III serta mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan membaca siswa kelas III setelah menerapkan metode SAS. Latar belakang yang menjadi dasar penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya keterampilan membaca siswa kelas III salah satu sekolah dasar negeri dikawasan asrama polisi Sukajadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan desain mengadaptasi dari desain Kemmis dan McTaggart. Subjek penelitian ini sesuai dengan latar belakang yaitu kelas III salah satu sekolah dasar negeri di kawasan asrama polisi Sukajadi yang berjumlah 35 siswa. Temuan penelitian ini dalam proses yaitu meningkatnya rata-rata hasil observasi terhadap siswa sebesar sebesar 16% dari siklus I ke siklus II dan sebesar 23% dari siklus II ke siklus III. Serta meningkatanya rata-rata keterampilan membaca siswa sebesar 2% dari persentase siklus I sebesar 76% menjadi 78% pada siklus II dan meningkat sebesar 19% pada siklus III sebesar 97%. Temuan ini sejalan dengan pendapat Abdurrahman bahwa salah satu cara yang bisa dipakai untuk membantu meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa adalah melalui melalui metode SAS. ---------- This research is based on the fact that there is. That there are still many elementary school level reading skills are still low. In this study, describes the process of implementation of research ranging from planning, determination of instrument, process, and outcome of the process. The purpose of this study was to obtain a form of lesson plans and an overview of the implementation process by applying the method of SAS in improving the reading skills of third grade students and to know the students' reading skills improvement class III after applying the method of SAS. The background is the basis of this research is still low reading skills of third grade students one public elementary school area of the police boarding Sukajadi. This study uses a Class Action Research by adapting the design of the design Kemmis and McTaggart. Subjects of this study in accordance with the background that is class III one of the public elementary schools in the district police barracks Sukajadi totaling 35 students. The findings of this study are in the process of increasing the average results of observation of the student by as much as 16% from the first cycle to the second cycle and by 23% from the second cycle to cycle III. And an increase in average reading skills of students by 2% of the percentage of the first cycle of 76% to 78% in the second cycle and increased by 19% in the third cycle of 97%. This finding is in line with the opinion of Abdurrahman that one way that can be used to help improve language skills is through through the method of SAS.
