Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya penguasaan konsep siswa terhadap konsep perkalian dan konsep pembagian dalam pembelajaran tematik siswa kelas II SD. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development), dengan model pengembangan menggunakan model pengembangan Borg & Gall dan langkah pengembangan bahan ajar dari Dick & Carey. Tahap-tahap yang sudah dimodifikasi dalam penelitian dan pengembangan adalah; (1) Tahap Studi Pendahuluan, (2) Tahap Pengembangan Model, dan (3) Tahap Ujicoba serta Revisi Produk, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa bahan ajar tematik untuk siswa kelas II di SDN Harapan 1 Bandung yang teruji kelayakannya dan keunggulannya untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep perkalian dan pembagian pada pembelajaran tematik. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi, angket dan tes. Hasil penelitian ini adalah : 1) Mendeskripsikan kondisi pembelajaran tematik kelas II di SDN Harapan Bandung, 2) Menghasilkan model pengembangan bahan ajar kelas II SD yang dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep, 3) Mendeskripsikan efektivitas penggunaan bahan ajar untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa kelas II SD. Pengembangan bahan ajar ini efektif untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa kelas II di SDN Harapan 1 Bandung. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh perhitungan uji t yang membedakan penguasaan konsep subyek penelitian sebelum dan sesudah implementasi bahan ajar, dengan thitung = 13,28 yang lebih kecil dari harga ttabel (α = 0,05 dan dk = 29) = 50,1. Disamping itu keefektifan bahan ajar terhadap pembelajaran tematik kelas II di SDN Harapan 1 Bandung dapat dilihat dari perbedaan nilai rata-rata pretest dan posttest siswa yang mana nilai rata-rata posttest (Mean = 82,3; Standard Deviation = 15,12) lebih tinggi dibandingkan nilai rata-rata pretest (Mean = 49,6; Standard Deviation = 10,67). Secara keseluruhan, bahan ajar matematika yang dikembangkan sudah dapat dikatakan dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep perkalian dan konsep pembagian siswa kelas IIA di SDN Harapan 1 Bandung. This research is motivated by the lack of mastery of concepts students to the concept of multiplication and division concepts in thematic learning grade II primary school. This type of research is research and development (R&D), with a model of the development of teaching materials using Borg & Gall and model of development for instructional design using Dick & Carey. Stages that have been modified in research and development are; (1) Preliminary Study Phase, (2) Stage Development Model, and (3) Phase Trials and Product Revision. This study aims to produce products such as instructional materials for students of grade II in Harapan 1 Primary School tested the feasibility and superiority to improve mastery of the concept of multiplication and division on thematic learning. Methods of data collection in this study using interview, observation sheets, questionnaires and tests. The results of this study were: 1) to describe the condition of thematic learning grade II in Harapan 1 Primary School, 2) Generate a model of the development of teaching materials grade II primary school, 3) Describe the effectiveness of the implementation of thematic learning using teaching materials. Development of teaching materials is effective to improve students' mastery of the concept of grade II in Harapan 1 Primary School. This is demonstrated by the calculation of the t- test that distinguishes the mastery of the concept of research subjects before and after the implementation of teaching materials, with t value is 13.28 less than the price ttable (α = 0.05 and df = 29) = 50.1. Besides, the effectiveness of teaching materials for grade II thematic learning in Harapan 1 Primary School can be seen from the difference in the average value of pretest and posttest student where the average posttest score (mean = 82.3; standard deviation = 15.12) is higher compared to the average pretest score (mean = 49.6; standard deviation = 10.67). Overall, mathematics teaching materials developed can already be said to improve the mastery of the concept of multiplication and division concepts IIA grade students at Harapan 1 Primary School.
