Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran mengenai keterampilan berfikir kreatif siswa dengan penerapan strategi relating, experiencing, applying, cooperating, transfering (REACT) dalam menumbuhkan keterampilan berfikir kreatif siswa. Sebagai subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas IX G SMP Negeri 29 Bandung, berjumlah 37 siswa pada semester dua tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Sedangkan teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan teknik observasi terstruktur, lembar kerja siswa, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas IX G SMP Negeri 29 Bandung mengalami peningkatan keterampilan berfikir kreatif setelah diberikannya tindakan berupa penerapan pembelajaran strategi REACT. Jadi, perencanaan, implementasi, dan refleksi dalam penerapan strategi REACT dapat mengasah keterampilana berfikir kreatif siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS. Siswa mampu mengemukakan sebuah respon yang tidak biasa, unik, dan jarang terjadi merupakan ciri-ciri dari orang yang berfikir kreatif. Peningkatan aspek keterampilan berfikir kreatif siswa ditandai dengan meningkatnya nilai rata-rata siswa pada siklus I mendapat perolehan nilai sebesar 67.78%, meningkat menjadi 73.89% pada siklus II, dan meningkat menjadi 88.89% pada siklus III. Sesuai dengan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, menunjukan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran strategi REACT, siswa mampu mengaitkan pembelajaran dengan kehidupan nyata, siswa dapat mengalami sendiri kegiatan yang ada pada materi pelajaran dengan melakukan kegiatan penelitian, siswa dapat bekerja sama dalam kelompok, dan siswa dapat diajak untuk bertukar pikiran dengan teman lainnya. Rekomendasi untuk peneliti selanjutnya hendaknya pembelajaran mengacu pada aktivitas siswa dalam berinteraksi dengan lingkungan sosial yakni masyarakat secara langsung. Siswa harus bisa mengaitkan materi pelajaran dengan kehidupan nyata. Hal ini dikarenakan pembelajaran IPS sangat cocok belajar dengan mengenal lingkungan secara langsung. This research is a classroom action research aimed to describe learning about students’ creative thinking skills with the implication of relating, experiencing, applying, cooperating, transferring (REACT) strategy in improving students’ creative thinking skills. The participant of this research was approximately 37 ninth grade students in SMP Negeri 29 Bandung. The students were in the second semester of the school year 2014/2015. The data collection techniques in this research were structured observation techniques, student worksheets, and documentation. The results of the research revealed that the students improved their creative thinking skills after the implementation of REACT strategy in social science learning. Therefore, planning, implementation, and reflection in the implementation of REACT strategy couldfoster students’ creative thinking social science learning. The students were able to express an unusual, unique, and rare response showing the characteristics of learners who think creatively. The improving aspects of students creative thinking skills wereindicated by the increaseof the average value of students score in the first cycle that was 67.78% to 73.89% in the second cycle, and improved to 88.89% in the third cycle. The result also indicated that the implementation of REACT strategy enables the student to be able to associate learning with real life. In addition, the students can experience the activities that exist on the subject matter by conducting research. The students can also work together in groups. Moreover, the students can be encouraged to exchange their opinion with their friends. Based on the result of the research, it is recommended for further research thatthe learning process should refer to the activity of students in the social environment in which they are interacting with the society directly. Students should be able to relate the subject matter with real life because social science learning should be conducted through direct learning with environment.
