Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah peningkatan kemampuan penalaran induktif dan disposisi matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran inquiry co-operation model, dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran ekspositori baik secara keseluruhan maupun ditinjau dari masing-masing kemampuan awal matematis (KAM) siswa (atas, tengah, bawah). Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen, yang menggunakan desain kelompok kontrol non ekuivalen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII salah satu SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Pesawaran, dengan mengambil sampel siswa kelas VIII. Kelas eksperimen diberi perlakuan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pembelajaran inquiry co-operation model, dan kelas kontrol diberi perlakuan dengan pembelajaran ekspositori. Masalah yang diteliti yaitu, pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran induktif serta pencapaian disposisi matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran induktif matematis siswa kelas inquiry co-operation model lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelas ekspositori, pencapaian disposisi matematis siswa kelas inquiry co-operation model lebih baik dibandingkan kelas ekspositori. Adapun hasil penelitian berdasarkan masing-masing KAM menunjukkan bahwa (1) pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran induktif siswa kelompok KAM atas kelas inquiry co-operation model dan ekspositori tidak berbeda secara signifikan; (2) pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran induktif siswa kelompok KAM tengah dan bawah kelas inquiry co-operation model lebih baik dibandingkan kelas ekspositori; (3) pencapaian disposisi matematis siswa kelompok KAM atas kelas inquiry co-operation model dan kelas ekspositori tidak berbeda secara signifikan; (4) pencapaian disposisi matematis kelompok KAM tengah dan bawah kelas inquiry co-operation model lebih baik dibandingkan kelas ekspositori. Kata Kunci: kemampuan penalaran induktif matematis, disposisi matematis, inquiry co-operation model This study aimed to examine the improvement of inductive reasoning ability and mathematical disposition among students who received inquiry co-operation model and expository lerning. The research used quasi-experimental and non-equivalent control group design. Population of the research is junior high scool student in Pesawaran district, Lampung Province with sample eighth grade students as much as two classes selected purposively. Experimental group gained inquiry co-operation model, and control group with expository learning. The instrument used consisted of mathematical inductive reasoning ability test and mathematical disposition scale. The statistical analysis performed were independent sample t-test and Mann-Whitney test. The result obtained are the improvement of students’ mathematical reasoning abilities who learned using inquiry co-operation model is better compared to students who learned using expository learning. The result showed that mathematical disposition scale of students who received inquiry co-operation model better than students who received expository learning.
