Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya minat siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen di sekolah. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti menguji penerapan strategi partisipatif dengan media blog dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen di kelas VII. Penerapan strategi partisipatif ini memiliki konsep belajar yang berpusat pada siswa, artinya siswa diharuskan berpartisipasi aktif dengan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran. Siswa dituntut berpikir, berbuat secara kreatif, bebas, terbuka, dan bertanggung jawab dalam mempelajari hal-hal yang bermakna untuk memenuhi kebutuhan belajar dan kepentingan bersama. Secara umum penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan penerapan strategi partisipatif dengan media blog. Adapun tiga tujuan penelitian ini, yaitu mendeskripsikan: (1) kemampuan menulis cerpen siswa kelas VII SMPN 16 Bandung di kelas eksperimen sebelum dan sesudah penerapan strategi partisipatif dengan media blog; (2) kemampuan menulis cerpen siswa kelas VII SMPN 16 Bandung di kelas kontrol sebelum dan sesudah penerapan strategi partisipatif dengan media blog; (3)tingkat perbedaan antara kemampuan menulis cerpen siswa kelas VII SMPN 16 Bandung di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Sampel dalam penelitian ini masing-masing berjumlah 27 orang siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Desain ini melibatkan dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi partisipatif dengan media blog efektif dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen. Peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa di kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan nilai rata-rata siswa di kelas kontrol. Nilai rata-rata tes awal (pretest) di kelas eksperimen sebesar 65 dan tes akhir (postest) sebesar 74. Nilai rata-rata pretest di kelas kontrol sebesar 69 dan postest sebesar 72. Data tersebut menunjukkan terdapat perolehan perbedaan (gain) nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen sebesar 9 dan perbedaan (gain) kelas kontrol sebesar 3. Uji hipotesis menunjukkan perolehan data dengan nilai t_hitung ≥ t_tabel, yaitu 2,75 ≥ 2,007. Berdasarkan data tersebut, dapat disimpulkan Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi partisipatif dengan media blog efektif dilaksanakan dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen. ---------- This research is motivated by the lack of student ini learning to write short stories in school. Based on this, the researchers tested the application of a participatory strategy with media blogs in learning to write short stories in class VII. The application of this participatory strategy has the concept of student-centered learning, meaning that students are required to participate actively with teachers in implementing the learning. Students are required to think, act creatively, free, open, and accountable in studying things that are meaningful to meet the learning needs and interests together. In general, this study aimed to describe the effectiveness of the implementation of a participatory strategy with media blog. The three objectives of this research, which describe: (1) the ability to write short stories seventh grade students of SMPN 16 Bandung in the experimental class before and after the application of a participatory strategy with media blog; (2) the ability to write short stories seventh grade students of SMPN 16 Bandung in class control before and after the application of a participatory strategy with media blog; (3) the degree of difference between the ability to write short stories seventh grade students of SMPN 16 Bandung in the experimental class and control class. The sample in this study each totaled 27 students in the experimental class and control class is taken by purposive sampling. This study used a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group. This design involves two classes, experimental and control classes. The results showed that the application of a participatory strategy with media blogs are effective in learning to write short stories. An increase in the average value of students in the experimental class is higher than the average value of students in the control class. The average value of the initial test (pretest) in the experimental class of 65 and a final test (post-test) of 74. The average value in the class pretest and posttest control at 69 for 72. The data shows there is a gain difference (gain) average value experimental class average by 9 and the difference (gain) control class is 3. Test the hypothesis shows the data acquisition with a value ≥ t_hitung t_tabel, namely 2.75 ≥ 2.007. Based on these data, it can be concluded that Ho refused and Ha accepted. This shows that the implementation of participatory strategies with media blogs effectively implemented in learning to write short stories.
