Abstract

Skripsi Jurusan Kurikulum dan Teknologi Pendidikan, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Tahun 2013. Penelitian dilakukan berdasarkan studi pendahuluan dan observasi yang dilakukan peneliti di PKBM Syifaush Shudur dimana terdapat pembelajaran jurnalistik pada program koran guna melatih kemampuan menulis artikel. Hal yang menjadi daya tarik adalah dalam pembelajaran jurnalistik diterapkan metode experiential learning, dimana peserta didik dapat menjadi jurnalis. Penerapan experiential learning dilakukan untuk memberikan pengalaman konkret kepada peserta didik guna mencapai keberhasilan pembelajaran, termasuk kemampuan menulis artikel. Penelitian ini menjawab permasalahan penelitian yang telah dirumuskan, yaitu “Apakah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pelaksanaan pembelajaran jurnalistik melalui experiential learning dengan kemampuan menulis artikel pada program koran anak di PKBM Syifaush Shudur?”. Secara lebih rinci rumusan masalah terdiri dari (1) Bagaimana pelaksanaan pembelajaran jurnalistik melalui experiential learning pada program koran anak di PKBM Syifaush Shudur?; (2) Bagaimana gambaran kemampuan peserta didik menulis artikel dalam pembelajaran jurnalistik pada program koran anak di PKBM Syifaush Shudur?; (3) Apakah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pelaksanaan pembelajaran jurnalistik melalui experiential learning dengan kemampuan peserta didik menulis artikel pada program koran anak di PKBM Syifaush Shudur?. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 orang. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan perhitungan skor total tiap instrumen, uji normalitas, analisis korelasi dan uji signifikansi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di lapangan, dapat diambil kesimpulan, bahwa (1) pelaksanaan pembelajaran jurnalistik melalui experiential learning di PKBM syifaush Shudur dapat berjalan sangat baik; (2) kemampuan peserta didik dalam menulis artikel dapat dikatakan baik dilihat dari aspek kebahasaan dan aspek artikel; (3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pelaksanaan pembelajaran jurnalistik melalui experiential learning dengan kemampuan menulis artikel pada program koran anak. Berdasarkan pernyataan tersebut maka diberikan rekomendasi, yaitu pembelajaran jurnalistik melalui experiential learning tetap dilaksanakan sesuai prosedur agar dapat tetap mencapai keberhasilan pembelajaran, khususnya kemampuan menulis artikel. ABSTRACT The study is conducted based on preliminary studies and observations by researchers at the CLC Syifaush Shudur where there is journalism study on the newspaper program in order to train the articles writing ability. The main attraction in journalism study applied experiential learning method is the student can be a journalist. The implementation of experiential learning is conducted to provide concrete experiences to the learners to achieve learning success, including the articles writing ability. This research answers the problems that have been defined, such as "Is there any significant Correlation between Journalism Study Implementation through Experiential Learning and Writing Articles Capabilities on Children's Newspaper Program CLC Syifaush Shudur?" More detail, the formulation of the study consist of (1) How the implementations of journalism study through experiential learning on children's newspapaer porgram at CLC Syifaush Shudur? (2) How is the ability of students in writing articles in journalism study on Children's Newspaper Program CLC Syifaush Shudur? (3) Is there any significant Correlation between Journalism Study Implementation through Experiential Learning and Writing Articles Capabilities on Children's Newspaper Program CLC Syifaush Shudur? This research uses descriptive correlational method with quantitative approach. The research instruments used are questionnaires, interviews and documentary studies. The sampling technique used is saturation sampling with sample size of 30 respondents. The data analysis technique is done by calculating the total score of each instrument, normality test, correlation analysis, and significance test. Based on the results of research in the field, it can be concluded, that (1) The implementation of journalism study through experiential learning at CLC syifaush Shudur can run very well (2) The writing Ability of learners can be categorized as good, viewed from aspects of linguistic and apects of article. (3) There is significant Correlation between Journalism Study Implementation through Experiential Learning and Writing Articles Capabilities on Children's Newspaper Program. Based on the statements can be given recommendation, that journalism study through experiential learning remains to be implemented according to the procedure in order to achieve learning success, especially writing article ability.
