Abstract
Pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia dalam materi keterampilan berbicara sebagian besar siswa kelas V SDN Cibodas 3 mengalami kesulitan. Penelitian beranggapan bahwa siswa belum terampil berbicara yang disebabkan oleh proses belajar yang tidak memperhatikan tahap belajar siswa karena guru langsung membacakan cerita tanpa melalui tahapan-tahapan dalam bercerita dan tanpa melatih keberanian siswa dalam menceritakan kembali cerita. Melihat keadaan yang demikian diperlukan suatu metode yang memperhatikan tahap belajar karena kemampuan siswa diasah melalui proses bukan hanya memberikan cara penyelesaiannya saja. Oleh karena itu dilakukan perbaikan pembelajaran melalui penelitian tindakan kelas dengan tujuan memperoleh gambaran penerapan metode storytelling. Desain penelitian ini mengadopsi model Kemmis dan Taggart. Data yang diperoleh dari instrumen pembelajaran dan instrumen penilaian dianalisis dan dideskripsikan. Dalam pendekatan ini langkah-langkah pembelajaran dengan metode storytelling adalah (1) memilih cerita yang sesuai, (2) guru membacakan cerita dengan lafal, intonasi dan ekspresi yang tepat, (3) siswa menyimak cerita dengan seksama, (4) siswa menentukan unsur-unsur cerita dan (5) siswa menceritakan kembali cerita dengan bahasa sendiri di depan kelas. Dengan metode ini dapat melibatkan siswa secara aktif, keaktifan siswa yang muncul berupa respon, antusias dan perhatian. Semoga penelitian ini dapat menjadi sarana pengembangan kurikulum dan pembelajaran, sehingga dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia materi keterampilan berbicara. ---------- Indonesian learning speaking skills in the material mostly fifth grade students of SDN Cibodas 3 difficulties. The research assumed that the student is not skilled to talk caused by not paying attention to the process of learning the learning phase the students because teachers read the story directly without going through the stages in storytelling and without the courage to train students in retelling the story. Seeing such a state that we need a method that takes into account the learning phase because of the student's ability honed through processes not only provide a way to resolve it. Therefore repairs learning through action research with the aim of obtaining a picture of the application of methods of storytelling. This study design model adopted Kemmis and Taggart. Data obtained from instruments of learning and assessment instruments are analyzed and described. In this approach a step-by-step learning method of storytelling is (1) selecting an appropriate story, (2) the teacher read a story with pronunciation, intonation and precise expression, (3) students listen to the story carefully, (4) students determine unsur- elements of the story and (5) the students retell the story with their own language in front of the class. With this method can involve students actively, activeness of the students who appear in the form of a response, enthusiasm and attention. Hopefully this research can be a means of curriculum development and learning, so it can be used in the Indonesian language learning materials speaking skills
