    Abstract

---------- Informal reasonings (intuitive, emotive, and rational) are the basic reasoning used by most people to solve the problems of socio-scientific issues. The results obtained indicate that informal reasoning that tend to appear at the primary school level is intuitive, informal reasoning which appears on SMP is rational, and informal reasoning that tends to appear on the high school level is emotive and rational. While informal reasoning that tend to appear in female students is rational, and are likely to appear on the male student is intuitive.
