Abstract
Kemampuan berpikir matematis pada pelajaran matematika merupakan komponen yang memiliki peranan penting dalam membangun daya kreatif dan inovatif siswa. Oleh karena itu untuk membangun kemampuan di atas, guru sebagai aktor di kelas harus dapat menciptakan pembelajaran yang bermakna bagi siswa, salah satunya adalah mencari strategi atau metode yang tepat sehingga kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa dapat tereksplorasi dengan baik. Penelitian ini bermaksud memperoleh sebuah bukti empiris tentang peningkatan kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa SD kelas III melalui pembelajaran matematika realistik berbasis permainan tradisional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SD kelas III di SDN Girimukti II Kecamatan Cibatu Kabupaten Garut dengan sampel kelas IIIA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IIIB sebagai kelas kontrol pada tahun pelajaran 2014-2015. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen, dengan desain penelitian non equivalent control group desingn. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini dilakukan melalui pretes dan postes sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Analisis data dilakukan mulai dari penyekoran, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas serta menguji setiap hipotesis yang telah dirumuskan dengan uji t. Berdasarkan analisis data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: 1) Kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran matematika realistik berbasis permainan tradisional lebih baik daripada kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional. 2) Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran matematika realistik berbasis permainan tradisional lebih baik daripada peningkatan kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran konvensional. Kata Kunci : Kemampuan berpikir matematis, pembelajaran matematika realistik, dan permainan tradisional. The mathematical thinking ability in math is a component that has an important role in building creative and innovative power of students. Therefore, to build this ability, teacher as an actor in the class must be able to create meaningful learning for students, one of which is to find the right strategy or method the mathematical thinking ability of student can be explored properly. The purpose of doing this research was to get an empirical prove about the increasing of third grade students' mathematical thinking ability through realistic mathematics education by using traditional games. The participants of this research were the third grader students of Girimukti II elementary school Cibatu region in Garut city. With third B class as a control third A class as an experiment class in the 2014-2015 academic year. The research experiment which has been used was quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group research design. The data was taken by using pretest and postest system before and after the treatment. The data analysis was done started from scoring, normality test, homogenical test, and tested every formulated hyphotheses with T test. Based on data analysis in this research we can conclude that : 1) the mathematical thinking ability of the students who got the realistic mathematics education method using traditional games were better than students' mathematical thinking capability who used conventional learning method, 2) the increase of students' mathematical thinking ability through traditional games with realistic mathematics education - based are better than those students who learned using conventional learning method.
