Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar IPA terpadu tema bunyi dan aplikasinya yang secara empirik dapat meningkatkan literasi sains siswa. Metode penelitian yang medigunakan ialah metode penelitian pengembangan. Objek penelitan adalah bahan ajar IPA terpadu tema bunyi dan aplikasinya pada jenjang SMP, sedangkan Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP di kota bandung. Tahap penyiapan produk bahan ajar dikembangkan dengan Four Step Teaching Material. Instrumen yang digunakan pada tahap ini adalah kesesuaian Kompetensi Dasar, Indikator dan outline bahan ajar serta instrumen keterpahaman. Draf produk bahan ajar dilakukan uji lapangan terbatas disekolah SMP dengan menggunakan instrumen kualitas bahan ajar, uji keefektifan produk dalam pembelajaran dan instrumen tanggapan siswa dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan memiliki kualitas yang tinggi dengan perolehan persentase sebesar 86,025%. Selain itu perolehan skor N gain siswa termasuk kedalam kategori sedang baik kelas ekperimen maupun kelas kontrol meskipun demikian terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara siswa yang mengunakan bahan ajar IPA terpadu tema bunyi dan aplikasinyadengan siswa yang menggunakan buku ajar yang tersedia disekolah dengan perolehan thitung(4,499) ˃ ttabel(2,000) . Hasil perhitungan effect size diperoleh bahwa bahan ajar IPA terpadu tema bunyi dan aplikasinyaberdampak terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa dengan perolehan skor 1,06 dengan kriteria tinggi. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan menarik baik bagi guru maupun siswa. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan Bahan Ajar, IPA Terpadu, Four Step Teaching Material Development, Literasi Sains This study aimed to make an integrated science teaching material with theme sound and its aplication on daily life to enhance student’s science literacy. Research and development are employed on this study. The object of this research are the science teaching material with theme sound and its aplication on daily life for junior high students, and the subject of this study were the 7th grader students on Bandung. This teaching material are developed using Four Steps Teaching Material Development. The instruments were used in these four steps are the basic competency, indicator and teaching material’ outline suitability and also the readability instrument. The draft of these teaching material were tested on 7th grader students with teaching material quality instrument, literacy science test to tested the efectivity of this teaching material, and also student’s and teacher’s responses. This study showed that the quality of this teaching material are 86,025% which fall on high quality category. Beside, the N gain of students’ science literacy showed a significant different between experimental group (were taught using integrated science teaching material) and control group (were taught using conventional teaching material), with t= 4,999, p= 0,05. The effect size (d= 1,06) which fall on high category, showed that this integrated science teaching material are able to enhance students’ science litercy. Students’s and teachers’ response showed that these teaching material are interesting so it can increase their motivation in learning science (especially for students).
