Abstract

Salah satu metode geofisika adalah metode geomagnet. Telah dilakukan pengukuran dengan menggunakan metode geomagnet berupa data medan magnet di daerah Perairan Flores, dimana penelitian ini mencakup daerah utara-selatan dan barat-timur Perairan Flores, tepatnya dari Flores Nusa Tenggara Timur sampai Sulawesi Selatan sebagai batas arah selatan-utara Perairan Flores dan Laut Jawa sampai Laut Banda sebagai batas arah timur-barat Perairan Flores. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keadaan geologi Perairan Flores. Akusisi data menggunakan seperangkat alat Proton Procession Magnetometer dan kapal Geomarin III dengan mengambil 20 lintasan. Hasil pengukuran dari lapangan berupa nilai medan magnet total yang kemudian dikoreksi terhadap IGRF untuk mendapatkan target dalam penelitian ini, yaitu nilai anomali medan magnet total. Selanjutnya data anomali medan magnet total tersebut dibuat peta konturnya untuk kemudian dibuat penampang A-A’, Penampang B-B’ dan Penampang C-C’ yang memotong tegak lurus terhadap kedua penampang. Tahap terakhir dalam pengolahan ini yaitu membuat pemodelan 2 dimensi dengan menggunakan bantuan perangkat lunak MAG2DC Free For Windows. Interpretasi kuantitatif terhadap model menunjukan terdapat sesar pada penampang A-A’ arah barat daya-utara dan sesar pada penampang C-C’ arah tenggara-barat laut. Terdapat juga beberapa batuan intrusi berupa batuan beku dengan nilai suseptibilitas 0,019 dalam SI yang merupakan batuan dolorit, nilai suseptibilitas 0,0260 yang merupakan batuan beku ultrabasa olivine-diabas dan nilai suseptibilitas 0,0318 merupakan batuan plutonik augite-syenite. Terdapat juga batuan-batuan akibat proses demagnetisasi, dengan nilai suseptibilitas -0,020 dalam SI dan -0,003 yang merupakan mineral kalsit dan gypsum. A measurement has been carried out using a geomagnetic method, that is, geomagnetic field measurement in the area of Aquatic Flores, in particular, the research covers the area of north-south and west-east Aquatic Flores, rather then in East Nusa Tenggara Flores to South Sulawesi as the boundary of south-north Flores and Java Sea until Banda Sea as the east- west boundary of Aquatic Flores.This study aims to determine the geological conditions of Aquatic Flores. A set of tools Procession Proton Magnetometer and ship Geomarin III, taking 20 tracks, used as a data acquisition. Results of the magnetic field measurement are then corrected by IGRF to get the research target in this study, that is the total value of magnetic field anomalies. Furthermore, a counter map of the data was created to make a cross section A-A’, a cross-section B-B' and cross-section C-C 'were cut perpendicular to the second cross-section. The last stage in this processing is to make two-dimensional modelling with the help of software MAG2DC Free For Windows. Quantitative interpretation of the models show that there is fault on the southwest-north cross-section A-A ' and faults in the southeast-northwest cross-section C-C'. There are also some forms of igneous intrusive rocks with a value of 0.019 susceptibility in SI that is a rock called dolorit, with susceptibility value 0.0260 named the ultramafic igneous rocks olivine-diabase and with susceptibility value 0.0318 labeled as plutonic rocks augite-syenite. There are also rocks due to demagnetization, with susceptibility values in SI -0.020 and -0.003 named as the mineral calcite and gypsum.
