Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil ketuntasan belajar siswa kelas IV pada salah satu SDN di Kota Bandung 18,91% yang baru berhasil mencapai KKM. Siswa kurang terlibat dalam proses pembelajaran, mereka relatif sebagai pendengar dan menerima informasi saja. Maka dari itu sangat diperlukan adanya pengembangan model pembelajaran yang menarik, melibatkan siswa, salah satunya dengan penerapan model pembelajaran langsung. Model Pembelajaran langsung melibatkan siswa dalam pembelajaran, membantu siswa berhasil dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, dan menciptakan rasa tantangan di dalam diri siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model Pembelajaran Langsung. PTK yang digunakan peneliti adalah model Kemmis dan Taggart dalam dua siklus yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Pada siklus I rata-rata kelas 60,33 dan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi 80,02. Sedangkan ketuntasan belajar siswa pada siklus I yang mencapai KKM berjumlah 14 orang (46,66%) dan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi 33 orang (89,18%). Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Pembelajaran Langsung dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa IPS di SD dan dapat dikembangkan dengan berbagai variasi untuk pokok bahasan lainnya. The background of this research was based on the low of the study result completeness of grade IV students in one Elementary School in Bandung City that was only 18,91% who reached KKM. Students were not too involve in learning process, relatively they were only act as listener and get the information. Thus, the development of interested learning model needed, also students must involve in the learning process. It can be done by applying direct learning model. Direct Learning can make students involve in the learning process, help them to be successful in learning activity, also create a challenge in themselves. The aims of this research were to describe the planning, the application, and the increasing of study result of the students by applying Direct Leaning model. PTK that used by researcher was Kemmis and Taggart model as much as two cycles. It started from planning, action, observation, and reflection. The result of the research showed that the students’ study result increased. In the cycle I, the class average was 60,33 and in the cycle II increased into 80,02. Whereas, in the cycle I the completeness of students’ study result who reached KKM were only 14 students (46,66%) and in the cycle II increased into 33 students (89,18%). Thus, it can be conclude that the application of Direct Learning can increase the students’ study result of Social Subject in Elementary School and it can be developed with many variations for any other main topic.
