Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan peneliti di SDN X Kota Bandung pada siswa kelas V SD yang berjumlah 45 siswa, menunjukan permasalahan yang ditemukan peneliti dalam proses pembelajaran IPA. permasalahan yang ditemukan peneliti bahwa siswa kurang antusias terhadap materi yang sedang diajarkan oleh guru, sehingga siswa tidak dapat mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran dengan baik. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari data awal yang diperoleh peneliti bahwa rata-rata keaktifan siswa sebesar 20%. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan keaktian siswa melalui penerapan model kooperatif tipe Team Game Tournament (TGT). Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) Mendeskripsikan perencanaan pelaksanaan pembelajaran melalui penerapan model kooperatif tipe TGT dalam meningkatkan keaktifan siswa 2) Mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran model kooperatif tipe TGT dan 3) Mendeskripsikan peningkatan keaktifan siswa melalui penerapan model kooperatif tipe TGT dalam pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang di adaptasi dari model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu, tingkat keaktifan siswa pada siklus I sebesar 59,82%, pada siklus II sebesar 81,97%, dan pada siklus III sebesar 88,92%. Simpulan dari penelitian yaitu pelaksanaan pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan setelah model kooperatif tipe TGT diterapkan. Keaktifan siswa mengalami peningkatan terlihat dari rata-rata presentase setiap siklusnya. Oleh karena itu penerapan model kooperatif tipe Team Game Tournament (TGT) dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif yang tepat untuk meningkatkan keaktian siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA. Based on observations of researchers in SDN X Bandung in fifth grade elementary school students who were 45 students, shows the problems found in the process of learning science researchers. Researchers discovered the problems that students are less enthusiastic about the material that is being taught by the teacher, so that students can not follow the learning activities well. This can be seen from the preliminary data obtained by researchers that the average student activity by 20%. One of the efforts made to improve keaktian students through the implementation of cooperative models Team Games Tournament (TGT). The objectives of this study were: 1) Describe the planning of the implementation of learning through the implementation of cooperative models TGT in increasing student activity 2) Describe the implementation of cooperative learning model of TGT and 3) describe an increase in activity of students through the application of TGT type of cooperative models in science teaching. This research is a class action in the adaptation of the model Kemmis and Mc. Taggart consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results obtained, namely, the level of activity of students in the first cycle of 59.82%, in the second cycle of 81.97%, and the third cycle of 88.92%. The conclusions of this research is the implementation of learning has increased after the model of cooperative TGT applied. Student activity increased visible from the average percentage of each cycle. Therefore, the implementation of cooperative models Team Games Tournament (TGT) may be one of the appropriate alternative to increase keaktian students in learning science.
