Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya media pembelajaran dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar dan kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam menyimak dongeng. Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan: (1) kemempuan siswa dalam menyimak dongeng sebelum menggunakan media movie maker, (2) kemampuan siswa dalam menyimak dongeng sesudah menggunakan media movie maker, dan (3) perbedaan yang signifikan anatara kemampuan menyimak dongeng sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media movie maker. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode studi kuasi eksperimen. Dengan menggunakan desain the one group pretest and postest design. Media yang diujicobakan yaitu dengan menerapkan media movie maker dalam pembelajaran menyimak dongeng. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Tarogong Kidul Garut. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) kemampuan menyimak dongeng sebelum menggunakan media movie maker menghasilkan rata-rata (61,5); (2) kemampuan menyimak dongeng sesudah menggunakan media movie maker menghasilkan rata-rata (76,75); dan (3) adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menyimak dongeng mengunakan media movie maker berdasarkan hasil thitung (9,83) > ttabel (2,7). Hal ini menunjukan bahwa hipotesis kerja (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak. Dengan demikian, media movie maker secara signifikan bisa meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas VII-4 SMP Negeri 1 Tarogong Kidul Garut dalam menyimak dongeng. The background of the study is based on the importance of learning process media in learning and teaching process and then, students’ less ability in paying attention to fabel. The aims of the study are describing: (1) students’ ability in paying attention to fabel before using movie maker media; (2) students’ ability in paying attention to fabel after using movie maker media; and (3) the significant differences of students’ ability in paying attention to fabel before and after using movie maker media. A quasi experiment method is used in this study, and the research desing is using the one group pre-test post-test design. The media of the experiment is applying movie maker media in learning process media in paying attention to fabel. This study is conducted in SMPN 1 Tarogong Kidul Garut. The result of the study are: (1) students’ ability in paying attention to fabel before using movie maker media in average is (61,5); (2) students’ ability in paying attention to fabel after using movie maker media in average is (76,75); and (3) there is a significant difference between students’ ability in paying attention to fabel using movie maker media, based on tvalue (9,86) > ttable (2,7). These result indicate that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. It showed that movie maker media significantly can help students’ ability in SMPN 1 Tarogong Kidul Garut grade VII-4 in paying attention to fabel.
