Abstract
Penelitian ini berawal dari adanya permasalahan yang dihadapi peneliti dilapangan. Pada mata pelajaran IPA pokok bahasan gaya hasil ulangan harian siswa hanya mencapai rata-rata 42,5 dengan 24 orang siswa yang mencapai diatas nilai KKM dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal 45,2%. Selain itu pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru masih didominasi dengan metode ceramah. Siswa cenderung kurang antusias dan pasif. Kegiatan siswa hanya menulis, membaca, dan mendengarkan apa yang disampaikan oleh guru. Berdasarkan identifikasi permasalahan tersebut, dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) melalui penerapan model cooperative learning tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) pada pembelajaran IPA pokok bahasan gaya di kelas IV SDN 2 Cibogo Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Penelitian bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Prosedur penelitian terdiri dari tiga siklus, masing-masing siklus terdiri atas empat tahapan yaitu, perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi untuk memperbaiki tindakan di siklus selanjutnya. Penelitian menggunakan metode PTK. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, soal pre-test, dan post-test. Semua data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian dianalisis baik secara kuantitatif maupun secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada siklus I perolehan nilai rata-rata kelas mencapai 66,95 dengan jumlah siswa 33 orang yang mencapai diatas KKM dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 70,12%. Sementara pada siklus II perolehan nilai rata-rata mencapai 67,14 dengan jumlah siswa 36 orang yang mencapai diatas KKM dengan ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 76,59%. Pada siklus III perolehan nilai rata-rata mencapai 77,89 dengan jumlah siswa 41 orang yang mencapai diatas KKM dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 87,23%. Disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model cooperative learning tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Only 24 of 47 students who got higher score than minimum passing criteria (KKM) with percentage of mastery learning 45.2%. Beside that, students in the class are not enthusiastic and passive. Because student activity just only writing, reading and also looking at teacher’s explanation. The aim of this research is to improve outcomes of student learning. This research design is a classroom action research which was conducted in 3 cycles and each cycle has 4 phases. There are planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection by using pre-test, post-test, and sheet of observation. Quantitative and qualitative are data analysis method that used in this research. Study results obtained in the first cycle, with an average of 66.95 obtained with mastery learning reached 70.12%, the second cycle average gained 67.14 with mastery learning reached 76.59% and average on cycle III acquired 77.89 with 87.23% achieving mastery learning. The conclution from this research is implementation cooperative learning model type numbered heads together (NHT) effective to improve outcomes of student learning.
