Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran roleplay dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal siswa kelas XI Program Keahlian Perhotelan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Terhadap Kelas, studi komparatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas di dua sekolah yaitu SMK Bina Warga dan SMK Bina Wisata Lembang yang diterapkan penerapan model pembelajaran roleplay dalam mata pelajaran Front Office dengan pokok bahasan Handling Complaint. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi langsung pada proses pembelajaran dan penilaian keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model roleplay efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal siswa di kedua sekolah tersebut. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa model pembelajaran roleplay mampu menjadi strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif dan kontekstual untuk mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal siswa, khususnya dalam konteks pendidikan vokasi di bidang perhotelan. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the roleplay learning model in improving interpersonal communication skills of eleventh-grade students in the Hospitality Expertise Program. The Method used is Classroom Action Research, a comparative study with a quantitative approach. The research subjects consisted of two classes from two schools, SMK Bina Warga and SMK Bina Wisata Lembang, implementing roleplay in Front Office lessons with the topic of Handling Complaints. Data were collected through observation and assessments of interpersonal communication skills before and after the application of the model. The research results show that the implementation of the roleplay model is effective in improving students’ interpersonal communication skills in both schools. This study affirms that the roleplay learning model can serve as an innovative and contextual learning strategy to develop students’ interpersonal communication skills, especially in the context of vocational education in the field of hospitality.
