Abstract

Berbagai permasalahan terkait degradasi nilai karakter semakin muncul ke permukaan. Mahalnya kejujuran, rendahnya penghargaan dan penghormatan terhadap orang tua, guru, dan pemimpin, menurunnya etos kerja masyarakat, menurunnya rasa tanggung jawab individu dan warganegara, langkanya figur pemimpin, dan terkikisnya penghormatan terhadap harkat dan martabat manusia merupakan masalah yang memerlukan penguatan nilai karakter bangsa dalam berbagai Aspek. Salah satu media alternatif yang dapat digunakan adalah melalui pertunjukan wayang golek purwa yang sarat nilai, moral dan pendidikan karakter. Masalah yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini meliputi; nilai-nilai karakter yang disampaikan dalam pertunjukan wayang golek purwa, bentuk transformasi nilai-nilai karakter yang berlangsung setelah penonton menyaksikan pertunjukan wayang golek purwa, skenario pertunjukan wayang golek purwa yang dapat memperkuat nilai-nilai karakter bangsa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, kesesuaian pengalaman belajar yang dialami penonton pertunjukan wayang golek purwa dengan proses pengembangan karakter. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode grounded theory. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan Dalang, Akademisi, Organisasi Pedalangan dan penonton, pengamatan/observasi pertunjukan wayang golek purwa, dan kajian dokumen terkait dengan pertunjukan wayang golek purwa. Berdasarkan hasil kajian dan analisis, ditemukan bahwa peran pertunjukan wayang golek purwa dapat memberikan tontonan sebagai tuntutan yang mengembangkan 4 (empat) perkara; menerangi hati dengan mengingat Tuhan; dapat membersihkan budi-budi yang kotor; bersih dengan Tuhan tanpa kemusyrikan; dan bersih dengan sesama makhluk dan tidak mendzalimi. Nilai-nilai karakter yang disampaikan dalam pertunjukan wayang golek didasari oleh nilai ketauhidan dan merupakan turunan dari enam sistem nilai kehidupan meliputi teologik, fisik fisiologik, etik, estetik, logik dan teleologik. Selain itu, penelitian ini menghasilkan dua teori baru. Pertama, penguatan nilai karakter bangsa dalam pertunjukan wayang golek dilakukan melalui pancadria yaitu tontonan, substansi nilai, simbolisasi nilai, seleksi nilai, dan perwujudan sikap yang teritegrasi dalam satu waktu pertunjukan. Kedua, pertunjukan wayang golek sebagai pendidikan karakter dibangun oleh keterpaduan 10 unsur seni meliputi seni bertutur, seni ukir, seni rupa, seni sastra, seni peran, seni vokal, seni musik, seni tari, seni perlambang, dan seni menyulam yang menjadikan wayang golek purwa sebagai seni multidimensional (dasa matra) yang sarat nilai. Kata kunci : penguatan nilai, seni pertunjukan, pancadria, seni dasamatra The various problems related to the degradation of character values were emerged. The high cost of honesty, lack of appreciation and respect for parents, teachers, and leaders, declining work ethic of community, declining sense of individual responsibility and citizenship, scarcity of leadership figures, and erosion of respect for human dignity are the problems that require the strengthening of the national character in various aspects. One of the alternative media is through Wayang Golek Purwa that has value-laden, moral and character education. The problems investigated in this research include; character values which are delivered in a Wayang Golek Purwa show, shape transformation of character values that take place after the audience watch Wayang Golek Purwa shows, scenarios of Wayang Golek Purwa that can strengthen the character of the nation's values in daily life, the suitability of the learning experienced by the audience of Wayang Golek Purwa with a character development process. This study uses a qualitative approach with grounded theory methods. The data were collected through interviews with puppeteer, academics, puppetry organization and audience, observations of puppet shows, and document review related to the puppet show. Based on the results of studies and analysis, it was found that the role of Wayang Golek Purwa can make a spectacle become that a learning that can develop four (4) points; illuminating the hearts by remembering God; being able to be free from dirty minds; free from idolatry with God; and clean with fellow beings and not despotic. The values of the characters are presented in Wayang Golek Purwa show based on the value of one-ness and is a derivative of the six value systems of life, including theologic, physiological physic, ethical, aesthetic, logical and teleologic. In addition, this study resulted two new theories. Firstly, the strengthening of national character in Wayang Golek Purwa is performed by the pancadria, that is, a spectacle, substance of value, a symbol of value, values selection, and attitude realization which are embedded in one time show. Secondly, Wayang Golek Purwa as an educational character is built by the integration of 10 elements of the art, including speaking, sculpture, visual, literary, acting, vocal, music, dance, symbol, and embroidery that makes Wayang Golek Purwa as multidimensional arts (dasa matra) which has value-laden.
