Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari data hasil observasi di lapangan yang memperlihatkan bahwa masih banyak sekolah yang terpaku dengan pembelajaran konvensional dengan metode ceramah yang berpusat pada guru (teacher center), padahal di era teknologi ini banyak alternatif lain agar pembelajaran tidak hanya dilakukan secara konvensional. Salah satunya adalah dengan menggunakan E-learning. Karena E-learning menjadi salah satu alternatif kegiatan pembelajaran, maka berdasarkan hal tersebut peneliti membuat sebuah media E-learning yang berbasis eFront. Penelitian ini berusaha menjawab permasalahan penelitian, yaitu “Apakah penggunaan E-learning berbasis eFront efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK)?”. Secara lebih rinci rumusan masalah terdiri dari (1) Apakah penggunaan E-learning berbasis eFront lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan penggunaan bahan ajar modul untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada domain kognitif aspek pengingatan (C1) dalam pembelajaran TIK di sekolah pada materi aplikasi pengolah kata?; (2) Apakah penggunaan E-learning berbasis eFront lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan penggunaan bahan ajar modul untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada domain kognitif aspek pemahaman (C2) dalam pembelajaran TIK di sekolah pada materi aplikasi pengolah kata?; (3) Apakah penggunaan E-learning berbasis eFront lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan penggunaan bahan ajar modul untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada domain kognitif aspek penerapan (C3) dalam pembelajaran TIK di sekolah pada materi aplikasi pengolah kata?. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Kuasi Eksperimen dengan desain Non-equivalent Control Group Design bentuk Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design menggunakan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol tanpa penugasan random. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes objektif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMAN 19 Bandung. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakanyaitu Cluster Sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan terhadap hasil belajar domain kognitif (aspek pengingatan, aspek pemahaman, dan aspek penerapan), antara siswa yang menggunakan E-learning berbasis eFront dengan siswa yang menggunakan modul pada mata pelajaran Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi. Perbedaan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan E-learning berbasis eFront lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan penggunaan bahan ajar modul untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK). Kata Kunci: E-learning berbasis eFront dan Hasil Belajar The background of this research data from field observations which show that many schools are stuck with conventional learning method a teacher-centered lecture (teacher center), but in this technological age many alternatives for learning not only done conventionally. One way is to use e-learning. Because E-learning is an alternative learning activities, and based on that research makes a media-based E-learning eFront. This study sought to answer the research problem, namely "Is the use of E-learning-based eFront effectively to improve student learning outcomes in subjects of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)?". Generally more detailed formulation of the problem consists of (1) Is the use of E-learning eFront based more effective than the use of teaching materials modules to improve student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain of remembering aspects (C1) in the teaching of ICT in schools in a word processing application materials?; (2) Is the use of eFront based E-learning is more effective than the use of modules of teaching materials to improve student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain aspect of understanding (C2) in the learning of ICT in schools in a word processing application materials?; (3) Is the use of eFront based E-learning is more effective than the use of teaching materials to improve the learning outcomes of the module students on the cognitive aspects of the application domain (C3) in the learning of ICT in schools in a word processing application materials?. This study uses a quasi-experiment method to the design of non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design shape control group design using experimental classes and control classes without random assignment. The instrument used in the form of objective tests. The population in this study were all students of class X SMAN 19 Bandung. The sampling technique used is cluster sampling. Based on the results of this study concluded that there are differences in the learning outcomes of the cognitive domain (aspects of remembering, understanding of aspects, and aspects of the application), among students who use eFront-based E-learning by students using the modules on the subjects of Information Technology and Communication. The difference suggests that the use of E-learning-based eFront more effective than the use of teaching materials to improve the module learning outcomes of students on the subjects of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
