    Abstract

    Motivasi belajar geografi siswa hingga saat ini masih relatif rendah sehingga diperlukan model pembelajaran yang tepat untuk meningkatkannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Gallery Walk terhadap motivasi belajar geografi. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pre-test post-test control group. Subjek penelitian adalah 60 siswa kelas X di SMAN Babakancikao yang dibagi menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan masing-masing kelas sebanyak 30 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui alat penelitian berupa angket motivasi belajar geografi dan dianalisis menggunakan Uji Paired Sample T-Test, Independent Samples T-Test, serta ANCOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan motivasi belajar geografi siswa pada kelas eksperimen meningkat signifikan setelah penerapan Gallery Walk, sedangkan kelas kontrol relatif tidak mengalami perubahan. Perbandingan hasil post-test antar kelas juga memperlihatkan perbedaan signifikan, dengan kelas eksperimen memiliki skor motivasi lebih tinggi. Analisis ANCOVA mengonfirmasi bahwa Gallery Walk memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar setelah mengontrol skor pre-test. Disimpulkan bahwa Gallery Walk berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar geografi siswa dengan kategori signifikansi Sedang-Besar. Model ini dapat direkomendasikan sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran aktif yang membantu guru menciptakan suasana belajar lebih menarik, interaktif, dan partisipatif. Students’ motivation to learn geography remains relatively low, requiring appropriate instructional models to enhance it. This study aims to analyze the effect of the cooperative learning model Gallery Walk on students’ motivation to learn geography. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test post-test control group. The subjects were 60 tenth-grade students of SMAN Babakancikao, divided into an experimental class and a control class, each consisting of 30 students. Data were collected using a geography learning motivation questionnaire and analyzed with Paired Sample T-Test, Independent Samples T-Test, and ANCOVA. The findings revealed that students in the experimental class showed a significant increase in learning motivation after the implementation of Gallery Walk, whereas the control class showed no notable change. Post-test comparison between the two groups indicated a significant difference, with the experimental class achieving higher motivation scores. ANCOVA further confirmed that Gallery Walk had a positive effect on learning motivation after controlling for pre-test scores. It is concluded that Gallery Walk significantly improves students’ motivation to learn geography, with a medium-to large effect size. Therefore, Gallery Walk is recommended as an alternative active learning strategy to foster a more engaging, interactive, and participatory classroom environment.
