Abstract
Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan kognitif siswa terhadap materi RAB serta minimnya penggunaan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media pembelajaran zine dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa terhadap materi Rencana Anggaran Biaya di SMKN 2 Ciamis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan subjek sebanyak 32 siswa kelas XI DPIB. Instrumen penelitian tes (Pretest dan Posttest) untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman siswa dan angket untuk mengetahui persepsi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam penggunaan zine. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif yang mencakup nilai rata-rata, N-Gain, Uji Normalitas, Uji linearitas, dan Uji Effect Size. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media zine efektif meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi Rencana Anggaran Biaya. Nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,5108 berada dalam kategori sedang, dan uji effect size pada kategori “Besar” dengan nilai 1,12. Persepsi siswa terhadap media pembelajaran zine juga mendapatkan nilai yang positif yaitu 73.1% dari skor ideal, dengan demikian proses pembuatannya mendorong keterlibatan serta pemahaman yang lebih mendalam secara visual dan naratif. The research was motivated by the low cognitive ability of students in understanding the material on Budget Plans and the lack of interesting and contextual learning media. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of zine learning media in improving students' cognitive abilities in understanding the material on Budget Plans at SMKN 2 Ciamis. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach with 32 students from class XI DPIB as subjects. The research instruments include tests (pretest and posttest) to measure students' understanding levels and a questionnaire to assess students' perceptions and engagement in using zines. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques, including mean values, N-Gain, Normality Test, Linearity Test, and Effect Size Test. The results indicate that zine media effectively enhance students' understanding of the Budget Plan material. The N-Gain value of 0.5108 was in the moderate category, and the effect size test was in the “Large” category with a value of 1.12. Students' perceptions of zine learning media also resulted in a positive score of 73.1% of the ideal score, thus the process of making it encouraged deeper involvement and understanding visually and narratively.
