Abstract

ABSTRAK KEMAMPUAN LITERASI INFORMASI DAN AKSES TERHADAP INFORMASI SISWA KOMPETENSI KEAHLIAN TEKNIK KONSTRUKSI DAN PERUMAHAN SMK NEGERI 5 BANDUNG Annisa Fitri – NIM 2108059 annisaafitrii1@upi.edu Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan Fakultas Pendidikan Teknik dan Industri, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Literasi informasi merupakan keterampilan esensial dalam proses pembelajaran abad ke-21 yang mencakup kemampuan mengidentifikasi kebutuhan informasi, mencari, mengevaluasi, dan menggunakan informasi secara efektif dan etis. Sementara itu, akses terhadap informasi merujuk pada sejauh mana siswa dapat memperoleh dan memanfaatkan berbagai sumber informasi, baik cetak maupun digital, yang relevan dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kemampuan literasi informasi dan akses terhadap informasi pada siswa kelas X Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Konstruksi dan Perumahan (TKP) di SMK Negeri 5 Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada seluruh siswa kelas X TKP sebanyak 71 orang. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari 35 butir pernyataan, yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kemampuan literasi informasi siswa berada dalam kategori baik, dengan skor total sebesar 4908 atau 76,81% dari skor maksimal. Akses terhadap informasi juga berada dalam kategori baik, dengan skor total sebesar 4663 atau 77,03% dari skor maksimal. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa telah memiliki kemampuan dalam hal literasi informasi dan akses terhadap informasi, meskipun masih diperlukan penguatan pada aspek evaluasi informasi dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi secara optimal dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar sekolah merancang program literasi informasi secara sistematis dan menyediakan fasilitas akses informasi yang merata dan mudah dijangkau oleh seluruh siswa. Meanwhile, access to information refers to the extent to which students can obtain and utilize various information sources, both print and digital, that are relevant to their learning needs. This study aims to describe the level of information literacy skills and access to information among 10th-grade students of the Construction and Building Engineering Expertise Program (TKP) at SMK Negeri 5 Bandung. This study employed a descriptive quantitative approach with data collected through questionnaires distributed to all 71 students of the 10th-grade TKP. The research instrument consisted of 35 statement items, which had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the data analysis indicate that students’ information literacy skills fall into the "good" category, with a total score of 4,908 or 76.81% of the maximum score. Similarly, access to information also falls into the "good" category, with a total score of 4,663 or 77.03% of the maximum score. These findings indicate that students have a foundational level of information literacy and access to information; however, there is still a need to strengthen aspects related to information evaluation and the optimal use of information technology in learning. This study recommends that schools design systematic information literacy programs and provide equitable and easily accessible information facilities for all students.
