    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar pada pembelajaran IPS, khususnya materi warisan budaya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa setelah memperoleh model pembelajaran inkuiri berbantuan media Quizizz, membandingkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis antara model inkuiri dan discovery berbantuan media Quizizz, serta mengetahui tingkat ketercapaian setiap indikator berpikir kritis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Buah Batu, Kota Bandung. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes yang telah teruji validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran dan daya pembedanya. Data dianalisis menggunakan perhitungan N-Gain, uji normalitas, homogenitas, uji-t berpasangan, uji t sampel independent dan perhitungan tingkat ketercapaian setiap indikator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model inkuiri berbantuan Quizizz dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan nilai rata-rata N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,55 (cukup efektif), lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas pembanding. Uji-t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,033 < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan peningkatan yang antara kedua kelas. Selain itu, ketercapaian indikator berpikir kritis tertinggi adalah pada aspek eksplanasi. Dengan demikian, model inkuiri berbantuan media Quizizz terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran IPS dan dapat dijadikan alternatif model pembelajaran inovatif berbasis teknologi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. ------- This research is motivated by the low critical thinking ability of elementary school students in social studies learning, especially cultural heritage material. The purpose of this study is to analyze the improvement of students' critical thinking ability after receiving the inquiry learning model assisted by Quizizz media, compare the improvement of critical thinking ability between the inquiry and discovery models assisted by Quizizz media, and determine the level of achievement of students' critical thinking indicators. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample was fifth grade students at one of the public elementary schools in Bandung City. The research instrument used was a test that had been tested for validity, reliability, difficulty level and discriminatory power. Data were analyzed using N-Gain calculations, normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired t-tests, independent sample t-tests and calculations of the level of achievement of each indicator. The results showed that the application of the Quizizz-assisted inquiry model can improve students' critical thinking abilities with an average N-Gain value of the experimental class of 0,55 (quite effective), higher than the comparison class. The t-test showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.033 <0.05, indicating a difference in improvement between the two classes. Furthermore, the highest achievement of critical thinking indicators was in the explanation aspect. Thus, the inquiry-based model assisted by Quizizz media has proven effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills in social studies learning and can be used as an alternative innovative technology-based learning model to enhance critical thinking skills.
