    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya kecerdasan emosional dalam mendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila serta dalam membentuk sikap peduli sosial siswa. Kecerdasan emosional meliputi kemampuan mengenali emosi diri, mengelola dan mengekspresikan emosi, memanfaatkan emosi secara efektif, mengenali emosi orang lain, dan membina hubungan dengan orang lain secara sehat. Berdasarkan teori dan temuan penelitian sebelumnya, kemampuan ini berperan penting dalam pencapaian akademik dan pengembangan sikap sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan hasil belajar Pendidikan Pancasila dan sikap peduli sosial siswa kelas IV di SDN 109 Centeh. Kecerdasan emosional dipahami sebagai kemampuan individu dalam mengenali emosi diri, mengelola dan mengekspresikan emosi, memanfaatkan emosi secara efektif, mengenali emosi orang lain, dan membina hubungan dengan orang lain secara sehat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 25 siswa kelas IV yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket kecerdasan emosional dan sikap peduli sosial, serta dokumentasi nilai hasil belajar selama satu semester Pendidikan Pancasila. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment dan Spearman serta uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan hasil belajar maupun sikap peduli sosial. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi kecerdasan emosional siswa, maka akan meningkat pula hasil belajar Pendidikan Pancasila dan sikap peduli sosialnya. Oleh karena itu, kecerdasan emosional memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung keberhasilan belajar dan pembentukan sikap peduli sosial siswa di sekolah dasar. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi guru, orang tua, dan pembuat kebijakan pendidikan untuk mengintegrasikan pengembangan kecerdasan emosional dalam proses pembelajaran, khususnya pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila yang menekankan nilai-nilai moral dan sosial. Penelitian ini juga memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan aspek afektif yang holistik sejak usia dini. This study is motivated by the importance of emotional intelligence in supporting the success of Pancasila Education learning as well as in shaping students’ social care attitudes. Emotional intelligence encompasses the ability to recognize one’s own emotions, manage and express emotions, use emotions effectively, recognize the emotions of others, and build healthy relationships with others. Based on theory and previous research findings, this ability plays a crucial role in academic achievement and the development of social attitudes. This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and learning outcomes in Pancasila Education, as well as students’ social care attitudes among fourth-grade students at SDN 109 Centeh. Emotional intelligence is understood as an individual’s ability to recognize their own emotions, manage and express emotions, utilize emotions effectively, recognize others’ emotions, and build healthy interpersonal relationships. This research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The subjects of this study consisted of 25 fourth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. The instruments used were emotional intelligence and social care attitude questionnaires, along with documentation of students’ Pancasila Education learning outcomes over one semester. Data analysis was conducted using Pearson Product Moment and Spearman correlation tests, as well as the Shapiro-Wilk normality test. The results indicate a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and both academic achievement in Pancasila Education and students’ social care attitudes. This suggests that the higher a student’s emotional intelligence, the better their academic performance and social care behavior. Therefore, emotional intelligence plays a crucial role in supporting both learning success and the development of students’ social attitudes at the elementary level. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for teachers, parents, and education policymakers to integrate emotional intelligence development into the learning process—especially in Pancasila Education, which emphasizes moral and social values. This study also contributes to the holistic development of the affective domain from an early age.
