    Abstract

    Rendahnya minat baca siswa di Indonesia menjadi tantangan dalam peningkatan kualitas pendidikan nasional. Salah satu strategi potensial untuk mengatasinya adalah melalui pemanfaatan karya sastra anak, khususnya cerita fantasi, sebagai media pembelajaran yang merangsang imajinasi dan meningkatkan literasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji struktur dan unsur fantasi berdasarkan kajian realisme magis yang dikemukakan oleh Wendy B. Faris dalam novel Noceur:Lights karya Renita Nozaria, serta mengeksplorasi pemanfaatannya sebagai buku teks pendamping dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia jenjang SMA. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis sastra dengan sumber data berupa novel. Struktur novel dianalisis menggunakan teori Robert Stanton, yang mencakup fakta cerita, tema dan sarana sastra, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel Noceur:Lights mengandung lima karakteristik utama realisme magis yaitu irreducible element, phenomenal world, unsettling doubts, merging realism, dan disruption of time, space an identity, dengan 213 data ditemukan dalam 25 bab cerita yang menguatkan klasifikasinya sebagai novel realisme magis. The low reading interest of students in Indonesia is a challenge in improving the quality of national education. One potential strategy to overcome this is through the use of children's literature, especially fantasy stories, as a learning medium that stimulates imagination and improves literacy. This study aims to examine the structure and elements of fantasy based on the study of magical realism proposed by Wendy B. Faris in the novel Noceur:Lights by Renita Nozaria, and explore its use as a companion textbook in Indonesian language learning at the senior high school level. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with a literary analysis approach with the data source being the novel. The structure of the novel is analyzed using Robert Stanton's theory, which includes story facts, themes, and literary devices. The results show that the novel Noceur:Lights contains five main characteristics of magical realism: irreducible elements, phenomenal world, unsettling doubts, merging realism, and disruption of time, space, and identity. With 213 data found in 25 chapters of the story, confirming its classification as a magical realism novel.
