Abstract
Salah satu hal yang penting dalam pendidikan adalah dapat mengembangkan pola pikir peserta didik, terutama mengenai pentingnya sikap peduli lingkungan. Dengan adanya pendekatan Science Environment Technology Society (SETS) untuk menumbuhkan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa sekolah dasar, khususnya pada pembelajaran IPAS materi pengelolaan sampah di kelas V SD. Melalui pendekatan SETS yang dirancang untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang menarik dan kontekstual, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran serta sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik dengan diterapkannya pembelajaran tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini tidak bermaksud mengukur tingkat keberhasilan, melainkan menggambarkan bagaimana penerapan SETS berlangsung dan bagaimana sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik terlihat. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas V di salah satu Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kabupaten Bandung. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dengan peserta didik, guru, dan kepala sekolah, serta angket. Hasil penelitian pada tahap penderapan pendekatan SETS ialah dengan melibatkan peserta didik kedalam lima tahap pembelajaran yaitu invitasi, eksplorasi, solusi, aplikasi, dan pemantapan konsep yang terintegrasi dengan aspek sains, lingkungan, teknologi, dan masyarakat dalam konteks masalah nyata. Hasil penelitian dari sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik dengan diterapkannya pembelajaran menunjukkan sikap peduli lingkungan yang baik, namun kekonsistenan belum merata dan diperlukan pembiasaan berkelanjutan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik terlihat tumbuh dengan menerapkan melalui lima tahap pembelajaran SETS, meskipun diperlukan pembiasaan berkelanjutan, dukungan fasilitas memadai, serta kolaborasi sekolah, guru, dan orang tua untuk konsistensi penerapan. ----- One of the important aspects in education is the ability to develop students' thinking patterns, particularly regarding the importance of environmental care attitudes. With the Science Environment Technology Society (SETS) approach to foster environmental care attitudes in elementary school students, specifically in science learning on waste management materials in grade V elementary school. Through the SETS approach designed to create an engaging and contextual learning atmosphere, this study aims to describe the implementation of learning and students' environmental care attitudes through the application of this learning approach. The method used is qualitative descriptive. This study does not intend to measure the level of success, but rather to describe how the implementation of SETS takes place and how students' environmental care attitudes are observed. The research subjects were grade V students at one of the State Elementary Schools in Bandung Regency. Data were collected through observation, interviews with students, teachers, and school principals, as well as questionnaires. The research results on the implementation stage of the SETS approach involve students in five learning stages: invitation, exploration, solution, application, and concept reinforcement that are integrated with science, environment, technology, and society aspects in real problem contexts. The research results on students' environmental care attitudes through the implementation of learning show good environmental care attitudes, although consistency is not yet even and requires ontinuous habituation. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that students' environmental care attitudes appear to grow through the implementation of five stages of SETS learning, although continuous habituation, adequate facility support, and collaboration between schools, teachers, and parents are needed for consistent implementation.
