Abstract
Based on regional geological conditions and rock petrogenesis, Cisolok is located within an active volcanic and tectonic zone. As a result, one of the rock types found in this area is mafic rock, with an estimated iron content of up to 9.1%. Iron sand mining activities were also conducted in a nearby area, specifically in Tegalbuleud, during 2012–2014. This study aims to identify the potential of iron ore deposits in Cisolok using magnetic and gravity data inversion with the Talwani grid model. The research was conducted on three survey lines and the result are two-dimensional and three-dimensional models. Two-dimensional processing was conducted using the Python library, while three-dimensional modeling was performed with ZondGM3D software. The results indicate the presence of zones with high magnetic susceptibility values, reaching 0.005 SI, which correlate with relatively high density values ranging from 2.8 to 3.0 g/cm³ at depths of 1500 to 2000 meters, located in the southeastern and northwestern parts of the study area. Although the extent is not particularly large, these zones are interpreted as areas with potential iron ore, classified as mafic rocks containing minor magnetite. In addition, the study successfully delineates three distinct subsurface rock layers.
