Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (PjBL) terhadap motivasi belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas V di SDN 140 Arcamanik dan SDN 149 Cigadung, Kota Bandung. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah kebutuhan untuk mengembangkan pendekatan pembelajaran yang tidak hanya fokus pada aspek kognitif, tetapi juga mendorong keterlibatan aktif dan kreativitas siswa. Model PjBL dipilih karena memberikan kesempatan bagi siswa untuk mengeksplorasi dan menyelesaikan proyek nyata yang relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan eksperimen semu, melibatkan kelompok eksperimen yang menerapkan model PjBL dan kelompok kontrol dengan metode konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket motivasi belajar dan tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif yang telah divalidasi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan SPSS versi 26 dengan uji-t independen, uji normalitas, dan uji N-Gain untuk mengukur peningkatan hasil sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada motivasi belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa kelompok eksperimen dibandingkan kontrol. Nilai rata-rata N-Gain pada motivasi belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif kelompok eksperimen masing-masing sebesar 0,75 dan 0,76, yang masuk kategori tinggi, sementara kelompok kontrol berada pada kategori sedang. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penerapan model PjBL efektif dalam meningkatkan minat belajar dan kreativitas siswa, menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih bermakna. This study aims to examine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on learning motivation and creative thinking skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 140 Arcamanik and SDN 149 Cigadung in Bandung. The background of this research stems from the need to develop a learning approach that not only focuses on cognitive aspects but also encourages active engagement and creativity among students. The PjBL model was chosen because it provides opportunities for students to explore and complete real-life projects relevant to their daily experiences. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design, involving an experimental group applying the PjBL model and a control group using conventional methods. Data were collected through validated questionnaires measuring learning motivation and tests assessing creative thinking skills. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26 with independent t-tests, normality tests, and N-Gain scores to measure improvements before and after the treatment. The results showed a significant increase in both learning motivation and creative thinking skills in the experimental group compared to the control group. The average N-Gain scores for learning motivation and creative thinking skills in the experimental group were 0.75 and 0.76, respectively, categorized as high, while the control group scores were in the moderate category. These findings confirm that implementing the PjBL model effectively enhances students’ learning interest and creativity, creating a more meaningful learning experience.
