Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat mempermudah pertukaran data namun juga menimbulkan ancaman serius terhadap keamanan informasi, seperti penyadapan dan pencurian data digital. Dokumen PDF sebagai salah satu format populer sering digunakan untuk distribusi data, namun belum memiliki lapisan keamanan yang cukup untuk melindungi informasi sensitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan aplikasi web berbasis Laravel yang mengintegrasikan algoritma kriptografi AES-256 dengan metode steganografi pada media PDF melalui teknik Hidden Stream dan Metadata untuk meningkatkan keamanan data. Metode yang digunakan adalah Design and Development Research (DDR) dengan tahapan need analysis, design & development, serta testing & evaluation. Proses implementasi dilakukan dengan mengenkripsi data menggunakan AES-256 sebelum disisipkan ke dalam PDF. Pengujian dilakukan melalui uji blackbox, uji performa, analisis korelasi Pearson, dan survei terhadap 20 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu melakukan enkripsi dan penyisipan data dengan baik, di mana metode Hidden Stream dan Metadata dapat menyembunyikan pesan hingga 671.180 bytes dengan rata-rata imperceptibility 89,6% yang termasuk kategori sangat baik. Selain itu, AES-256 menghasilkan ciphertext dengan distribusi acak dan korelasi mendekati nol terhadap plaintext. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa integrasi AES-256 dan steganografi PDF dapat memberikan lapisan keamanan ganda, menjaga kerahasiaan sekaligus menyamarkan keberadaan data, sehingga layak digunakan sebagai solusi praktis dalam melindungi informasi digital. --------- The rapid development of information technology facilitates data exchange but also poses serious threats to information security, such as eavesdropping and digital data theft. PDF documents, as one of the most popular formats for data distribution, often lack sufficient security layers to protect sensitive information. This study aims to design and implement a Laravel-based web application that integrates the AES-256 cryptographic algorithm with steganography on PDF media using the Hidden Stream and Metadata techniques to enhance data security. The research method employed is Design and Development Research (DDR) with three main stages: need analysis, design & development, and testing & evaluation. The implementation process is carried out by encrypting the data with AES-256 before embedding it into the PDF. Testing was conducted through blackbox testing, performance testing, Pearson correlation analysis, and a survey of 20 respondents. The results show that the system is capable of performing both encryption and data embedding effectively, where the Hidden Stream and Metadata methods can conceal messages of up to 671.180 bytes with an average imperceptibility of 89.6%, which is categorized as very good. In addition, AES-256 produces ciphertext with a random distribution and near-zero correlation to the plaintext. The conclusion of this research is that the integration of AES-256 and PDF steganography provides a dual layer of security, ensuring confidentiality while simultaneously concealing the existence of the data, making it a practical solution for protecting digital information.
