    Abstract

    Keterampilan membaca pemahaman teks narasi dan berbicara adalah aspek krusial dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di tingkat sekolah dasar. Namun, banyak siswa yang masih menghadapi kesulitan dalam memahami isi teks dan menyampaikan pemikiran mereka secara lisan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif melalui Question Answer Relationship (QAR) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman dan berbicara teks narasi siswa kelas v sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu. Data yang dikumpulkan mencakup nilai tes membaca pemahaman teks naratif dan penilaian keterampilan berbicara siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes tertulis untuk mengukur pemahaman membaca, serta observasi dan penilaian performa berbicara selama diskusi kelompok dan presentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif untuk mengevaluasi peningkatan skor rata-rata, serta uji t untuk menguji signifikansi perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam keterampilan membaca pemahaman teks narasi siswa, yang ditandai dengan kenaikan skor rata-rata dari 60 menjadi 82 setelah penerapan model kooperatif melalui QAR. Di samping itu, keterampilan berbicara siswa juga mengalami perkembangan, terlihat dari peningkatan kemampuan mereka dalam menyampaikan pendapat dan menjawab pertanyaan secara lisan dengan lebih percaya diri dan terstruktur. Model pembelajaran kooperatif yang dipadukan melalui Question-Answer Relationship (QAR) terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman teks naratif dan kemampuan berbicara siswa di tingkat sekolah dasar. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan hasil belajar, tetapi juga mendorong keterlibatan, motivasi, serta kepercayaan diri siswa dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, model ini sangat dianjurkan untuk diterapkan secara luas dalam pengajaran di sekolah dasar. However, many students still face difficulties in understanding the text and expressing their thoughts orally. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Question-Answer Relationship (QAR) cooperative learning model in improving the reading comprehension and speaking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. This study adopted a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. Data collected included reading comprehension test scores and an assessment of students' speaking skills. Data collection techniques included a written test to measure reading comprehension, as well as observation and assessment of speaking performance during group discussions and presentations. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics to evaluate the improvement in average scores, and a t-test to test the significance of differences before and after the implementation of the learning model.. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' reading comprehension skills in narrative texts, which was indicated by an increase in the average score from 60 to 82 after the implementation of the cooperative model through QAR. In addition, students' speaking skills also improved, as evidenced by their increased ability to express opinions and answer questions verbally with greater confidence and structure. The cooperative learning model combined with the Question-Answer Relationship (QAR) strategy has proven effective in improving students' reading comprehension, narrative text comprehension, and speaking skills at the elementary school level. This approach not only improves learning outcomes but also encourages student engagement, motivation, and confidence in the Indonesian language learning process. Therefore, this model is highly recommended for widespread implementation in elementary school teaching.
