Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa serta pembelajaran berbasis masalah open-ended dan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi yang masih jarang digunakan di kelas. Tujuan dilaksanakan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran berbasis masalah open-ended berdiferensiasi, dan mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran bebasis masalah open-ended berdiferensiasi dan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pembelajaran direct instruction berdiferensiasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pre-test post-test with non-equivalent control group design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Rancaekek, Kabupaten Bandung. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji normalitas dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Mann-Withney dan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis masalah open-ended berdiferensiasi, hal ini dibuktikan dari uji Wilcoxon dengan nilai signifikansi 0.001 serta perolehan N-Gain sebesar 67% dengan kategori sedang. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada siswa di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, hal ini dibuktikan pada perolehan hasil uji Mann-Withney dua sampel independen dengan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) 0,001. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Selain itu, penelitian ini dapat memberikan pengalaman baru bagi siswa untuk dapat berpikir secara terbuka --------- This research is triggered by the low mathematical problem-solving abilities of students, as well as open-ended problem-based learning and differentiated learning which are still rarely used in the classroom. The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of mathematical problem-solving ability of students who receive differentiated open-ended problem-based learning, and to determine the difference in the improvement of mathematical problem-solving ability between students who receive differentiated open-ended problem-based learning and students who receive learning with differentiated direct instruction. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test post-test design with a non-equivalent control group design. The sample used in this study were fifth-grade elementary school students in Rancaekek District, Bandung Regency. The research instrument used was a mathematical problem-solving ability test. Data analysis used was a normality test and hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney test and the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in the experimental class using open-ended problem-based differentiated learning, this was evidenced by the Wilcoxon test with a significance value of 0.001 and an N-Gain of 67% with a moderate category. The results also showed a difference in the increase in mathematical problem-solving abilities in students in the experimental class and the control class, this was evidenced by the results of the Mann-Withney test of two independent samples with a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001. Thus, this study can be applied to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. In addition, this study can provide new experiences for students to be able to think openly.
