Abstract
Matematika memiliki hubungan erat dengan banyak konsep, dapat menjadi dasar penemuan dan pengembangan ilmu lainnya serta dapat membantu memecahkan masalah kehidupan sehari hari. Pengetahuan tentang konsep pecahan diperlukan siswa Tingkat dasar untuk bekal menghadapi tingkatan sekolah selanjutnya dan sangat diperlukan dalam kehidupan sehari hari. Dari 30 siswa kelas IV, sebanyak 18 siswa mendapat nilai kurang dari KKM. Hasil wawancara, guru menyebutkan siswa kesulitan dalam memahami konsep pecahan, menyelesaikan operasi hitung pecahan serta menyebutkan contoh monskrit pecahan dalam kehidupan sehari hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar pecahan senilai dengan pendekatan Concrete Pictorial Abstract. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas IV SDN Pasirluhur, KAb. Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan Teknik purposive sampling dengan partisipan ahli materi, ahli desain, ahli Bahasa dan peserta didik kelas IV sejumlah 30 orang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode D&D (Design and Development) dengan model PPE (Planning, Production, Evaluation). Hasil validasi dari ahli bahan ajar sebesar 88% dengan katergori sangat layak, hasil validasi ahli desain sebesar 89% dengan kategori sangat layak, dan hasil validasi ahli bahasa sebesar 90% dengan kategori sangat layak. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahan ajar berbasis pendekatan Concrete Pictorial Abstract (CPA) sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika materi pecahan senilai di kelas IV sekolah dasar. The purpose of this research is (1) to describe the process of developing equivalent fraction teaching materials using the Concrete Pictorial Abstract approach in class IV, (2) describe the design of equivalent fraction teaching materials using the Concrete Pictorial Abstract approach in class IV, and (3) describe students' responses to fraction teaching materials equivalent to the Concrete Pictorial Abstract approach in class IV. The background to this research is based on student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects on low value fraction material. In terms of learning outcomes, there are still many students who get scores below the KKM (70). Of the 30 class IV students, 18 students (60.00%) got a score of less than 70, 5 students (16.67%) got a score of 70, and 7 students (23.33%) got a score of more than 70. After conducting interviews with several students, it showed that these students had difficulty understanding the concept of fractions, let alone understanding fraction calculation operations, this is what causes students' low learning achievement. Students also have difficulty in solving questions related to fraction calculation operations, and cannot provide concrete examples of fractions in everyday life. The research method used is the D&D (Design and Development) method with the PPE (Planning, Production, Evaluation) model which was initiated by Richey and Klein. There were three experts involved in testing the suitability of the teaching materials being developed, namely teaching materials experts, design experts and language experts. The validation results from teaching materials experts were 88% in the very feasible category, the validation results from design experts were 89% in the very feasible category, and the validation results from language experts were 90% in the very feasible category. So it can be concluded that teaching materials based on the Concrete Pictorial Abstract (CPA) approach are very suitable for use in teaching mathematics regarding equivalent fractions in class IV elementary school.
