Abstract
Nilai cinta tanah air sangat penting ditanamkan pada setiap siswa termasuk pada siswa tanpa dokumen yang tinggal di luar negeri yang menghadapi banyak tantangan, padahal nilai cinta tanah air ini sangat berguna untuk penguatan identitas kebangsaan. Salah satu cara menanamkan nilai cinta tanah air adalah melalui pengenalan budaya asli Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses internalisasi karakter nilai cinta tanah air melalui program Wayang Golek Goes to School di Sanggar Bimbingan PERMAI Penang, Malaysia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Wayang golek mengandung nilai-nilai luhur seperti nilai religius, nilai keberanian, nilai kebersamaan, dan nilai cinta tanah air yang tercermin dalam tokoh Cepot. Nilai-nilai ini berperan penting dalam menanamkan rasa persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa dan nilai ini diajarkan selama program. Pelaksanaan program berlangsung lancar dan mendapat respon positif dari berbagai pihak, dengan tahapan kegiatan meliputi pengenalan, apresiasi, penciptaan, dan penyajian. (2) Program ini memberikan dampak positif dalam internalisasi karakter cinta tanah air. Hal ini terlihat dari meningkatnya rasa bangga terhadap budaya lokal, penghargaan terhadap bahasa Indonesia, penghormatan terhadap adat dan tradisi, serta kepedulian dalam menjaga dan melestarikan budaya. -------- The value of patriotism is essential to be instilled in every student, including undocumented students living abroad who deal with challenges. This value plays a crucial role to strengthen national identity. Introducing traditional Indonesian culture is one of the ways to instilled patriotism. The aim of the study is to describe the process of character internalizing value of patriotism through the Wayang Golek Goes to School program at Sanggar Bimbingan PERMAI, Penang, Malaysia. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The results showed that: (1) Wayang Golek contains noble values such as religious, courage, togetherness, and patriotism values, as reflected in the Cepot character. These values played a significant role in instilling national unity and were taught throughout the program. The program went smoothly and received positive responses from various parties, with activity stages including introduction, appreciation, creation, and presentation. (2) The program had a positive impact on the internalization of patriotic character. This was evident from the increased sense of pride in local culture, appreciation of the Indonesian language, respect for customs and traditions, and concern for preserving cultural heritage.
