    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana peran orang tua dalam membentuk karakter disiplin pada anak usia dini di tengah perkembangan era digital. Karakter disiplin sendiri menjadi aspek penting yang perlu dibiasakan sejak dini agar anak mampu mengelola waktu, menaati aturan, serta bertanggung jawab terhadap tindakannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa orang tua berperan besar dalam menanamkan sikap disiplin melalui empat strategi utama, yaitu memberikan contoh secara langsung, menyusun jadwal kegiatan anak, menerapkan konsekuensi atas perilaku, serta memberikan penghargaan atas kedisiplinan yang ditunjukkan anak. Pelaksanaan strategi ini dilakukan secara konsisten, penuh perhatian dan kasih sayang, serta disesuaikan dengan karakter dan tahap perkembangan anak. Selain itu, hasil penelitian juga menegaskan bahwa keterlibatan orang tua secara emosional maupun fisik memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap pembentukan disiplin pada anak usia dini. ------- This study aims to examine the role of parents in shaping the character of discipline in early childhood amidst the advancement of the digital era. Discipline is considered a crucial aspect that should be instilled from an early age to help children manage their time, follow rules, and take responsibility for their actions. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that parents play a significant role in fostering discipline through four main strategies: providing direct examples, creating daily activity schedules, implementing consequences for behavior, and giving rewards for disciplined actions. These strategies are carried out consistently, with care and affection, and are tailored to the child’s character and stage of development. Furthermore, the study highlights that both emotional and physical involvement of parents significantly influence the development of discipline in early childhood.
