    Abstract

Skills on mathematical representation and statistics are things that students need to master in the 21st century. However, junior high school students' mathematical representation skills in statistics are still not optimal, so research related to this topic needs to be carried out further. One of the factors that can influence mathematical representation skills is self-regulated learning (SRL). Therefore, this study was conducted to analyze and describe the mathematical representation skills of students with low, moderate, and high SRL in solving problems on statistics. This research is qualitative type with case study design. The research was conducted in one of public junior high schools in Bandung City. The subjects studied were 27 students of grade VII in even semester of the 2024/2025 school year, consisting of 2 students with high SRL, 4 students with moderate SRL, and 2 students with low SRL that studied further by interview. SRL questionnaire, mathematical representation skills test, and interview guidance were used to collect data in this study. The results and findings of this study show that students with high SRL tend to show good visual and symbolic representation skills, although there is still a student who have not shown their verbal representation skills optimally. Most of students with moderate SRL have been able to show visual and verbal representation skills even though they still have to be maximized, and some students have shown good symbolic representation skills. As for students with low SRL, they tend to show mathematical representation skills both visually, verbally, and symbolically that still not optimal.
