Abstract
Kemampuan berpikir logis sangat penting karena berkorelasi dengan kemampuan memecahkan masalah. Sayangnya kemampuan berpikir logis siswa masih menunjukkan kecenderungan yang relatif rendah. Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir logis tersebut berkontribusi terhadap kesulitan siswa dalam mempelajari pemrograman, salah satunya pada materi percabangan. Studi pendahuluan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi ini karena lemahnya kemampuan berpikir logis. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan pendekatan PRIMM (Predict, Run, Investigate, Modify, Make) dengan bantuan media pembelajaran berbasis web untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir logis siswa tingkat SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif pra-eksperimental dengan desain one group pretest-posttest dan model pengembangan media ADDIE. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pendekatan PRIMM dengan bantuan media pembelajaran berbasis web memberikan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan berpikir logis siswa, dengan rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,67 yang termasuk dalam kategori “Sedang”. Selain itu, media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan memperoleh respons “Sangat Baik” dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 86,97%. Dengan demikian, pendekatan PRIMM dengan bantuan media web dapat dianggap sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir logis dalam pembelajaran pemrograman di tingkat SMA. Logical thinking skills play a crucial role as they correlate strongly with problem solving abilities. However, students’ logical thinking skills remain relatively low. This deficiency significantly contributes to the challenges students face in learning programming, particularly in mastering conditional (branching) structures. Preliminary studies indicate that many students struggle to comprehend this material due to weak logical reasoning capabilities. To address this issue, this study aims to implement the PRIMM (Predict, Run, Investigate, Modify, Make) approach supported by web-based media learning to enhance students’ logical thinking abilities at the senior high school level. This research implemented a quantitative pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design and utilized the ADDIE model for media development. The results revealed that the implementation of the PRIMM approach, assisted by web-based media, significantly improved students’ logical thinking skills, as indicated by an average N-Gain score of 0.67, categorized as “Moderate.” Furthermore, the developed instructional media received a “Very Good” response, with an average score percentage of 86.97%. Therefore, the PRIMM approach supported by web-based learning media can be considered an effective instructional strategy for enhancing logical thinking skills in high school programming education.
