Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan sosial emosional anak usia 5 - 6 tahun, terutama dalam hal berinteraksi dengan teman sebaya dan mengontrol emosi. Hasil observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa 10 dari 21 anak di kelompok B mengalami hambatan dalam aspek tersebut. Tujuan dari penlitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan sosial emoi anak melalui penerapan model problem based learning dalam aktivitas permainan tradional engklek. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan desain model Robert P. Pelton yang meliputi lima tahapan: identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, dan penilaian hasil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan sosial emosi anak. Pada siklus I tindakan I, persentase ketercapaian sebesar 31,62%, meningkat menjadi 65,90% pada siklus II tindakan II, dan mencapai 84,76% pada siklus III tindakan III. Peningkatan ini terjadi karena model problem based learning mampu mendorong anak untuk terlibat aktif dalam memecahkan masalah sosial melalui interaksi langsung dengan teman sebaya, terutama melalui media permainan engklek yang bersifat kolaboratif dan menyenangkan. Kebaruan dari penelitian ini terletak pada penggabungan model problem based learning dengan permainan tradisional engklek sebagai media pembelajaran dalam mengembangkan keterampilan sosial emosi anak usia dini. -------- This research is motivated by the low social emotional skills of children aged 5-6 years, especially in terms of interacting with peers and controlling emotions. Initial observation results showed that 10 of the 21 children in group B experienced obstacles in this aspect. The aim of this study is to improve children's socialemotional abilities through the application of a problem-based learning model in traditional engklek game activities. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Robert P. Pelton model design which includes five stages: problem identification, data collection, action planning, action implementation, and assessment of results. The results of the study showed a significant increase in children's social emotional abilities. In cycle I action I, the percentage of achievement was 31.62%, increasing to 65.90% in cycle II action II, and reaching 84.76% in cycle III action III. This increase occurred because the problem-based learning model was able to encourage children to be actively involved in solving social problems through direct interaction with peers, especially through the collaborative and fun media of hopscotch games. The novelty of this research lies in the combination of the problem-based learning model with the traditional game of engklek as a learning medium in developing the social-emotional skills of early childhood.
