Abstract
Buku teks merupakan salah satu referensi bagi guru atau tenaga pendidik lainnya untuk membuat modul ajar serta mempersiapkan kelas dan pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, konten dalam buku teks seperti materi harus berkualitas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menganalisis buku teks matematika kelas IX pada materi peluang dan pemilihan sampel berdasarkan empat elemen prakseologi (type of task, teknik, teknologi, dan teori) untuk mengidentifikasi hambatan belajar yang mungkin dialami siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan Didactical Design Research (DDR), di mana buku teks matematika kurikulum merdeka cetakan pertama (2022) yang diterbitkan oleh Kemdikbudristek dianalisis melalui perspektif paradigma interpretatif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa buku teks belum sepenuhnya memenuhi karakteristik epistemik dan sistemik. Ditemukan beberapa hambatan belajar, seperti hambatan ontogenik konseptual (keterbatasan pemahaman materi prasyarat), hambatan epistemologis (ketidakcukupan penjelasan konsep), dan hambatan didaktis (urutan penyajian materi yang kurang optimal). Selain itu, beberapa teknik penyelesaian tidak disertai justifikasi yang memadai, sehingga berpotensi menghambat pemahaman siswa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya peran guru dalam mengevaluasi dan menyesuaikan konten buku teks sebelum digunakan sebagai sumber pembelajaran. Guru perlu memastikan pemahaman mendalam terhadap materi serta mengidentifikasi potensi hambatan belajar agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai secara efektif. Penelitian ini juga memberikan rekomendasi bagi pengembang buku teks untuk memperbaiki penyajian materi agar lebih koheren dan mendukung proses belajar siswa. Textbooks are one of the references for teachers or other educators to create teaching modules and prepare classes and learning. Therefore, the content in textbooks such as materials must be of high quality. This study aims to analyze grade IX mathematics textbooks on the topics of probability and sample selection based on four elements of praxeology (type of task, technique, technology, and theory) to identify learning obstacle that students might experience. The research method used was qualitative with the Didactical Design Research (DDR) approach, where the first edition of the merdeka curriculum mathematics textbook (2022) published by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology was analyzed through an interpretive paradigm perspective. The results of the analysis showed that the textbooks did not fully meet the epistemic and systemic characteristics. Several learning obstacles were found, such as conceptual ontogenic obstacle (limited understanding of prerequisite material), epistemological obstacle (insufficient explanation of concepts), and didactic barriers (less than optimal order of presentation of topic). In addition, several completion techniques were not accompanied by adequate justification, so they have the potential to hinder student understanding. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of the role of teachers in evaluating and adjusting textbook content before being used as a learning resource. Teachers need to ensure a deep understanding of the material and identify potential learning barriers so that learning objectives can be achieved effectively. This study also provides recommendations for textbook developers to improve the presentation of materials to be more coherent and support the student learning process.
