Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis potensi wilayah dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik Kelas V SD Negeri pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan secara intensif selama enam bulan Februari – Juli 2024. Penelitian dilaksanakan di enam SD Negeri yang ada di Kecamatan Warungkondang, Kabupaten Cianjur. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode Research and Development yang dikembangkan oleh Borg & Gall (1979) yang diringkas dalam tiga tahap, yaitu studi pendahuluan, pengembangan model, dan uji validasi model. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, prasurvey dan wawancara, angket, serta pretes dan postes terbatas dan diperluas menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji deskriptif statistik nonparametrik, uji coba model secara terbatas dan uji coba model diperluas, uji efektivitas model, serta uji homogenitas. Hasil penelitian pada enam SD Negeri yang terpilih sebagai locus penelitian menyimpulkan: 1) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPS di Kelas V pada beberapa SD Negeri dikategorikan sudah cukup baik; 2) Keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik Kelas V pada pembelajaran IPS di beberapa SD Negeri sudah cukup baik; 3) Pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis potensi wilayah dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik Kelas V pada pembelajaran IPS di beberapa SD Negeri telah dilaksanakan dengan baik; 4) Keberhasilan pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis potensi wilayah dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPS di Kelas V dari beberapa SD Negeri sangat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, baik faktor internal maupun faktor eksternal; dan 5) Pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis potensi wilayah cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPS di Kelas V pada beberapa SD Negeri. The research aims to examine the development of a learning model based on local potential in improving the critical thinking skills of Fifth Grade State Elementary School students in Social Sciences. This research has done intensively in six months on February – July 2024. The research was carried out in six elementary schools in Warungkondang District, Cianjur Regency. The Research and Development (R & D) method from Borg & Gall (1979) was carried out and summarized in three stages, namely preliminary study, developing model, and model validation test. Data collection was carried out through observation, pre-surveys and interviews, questionnaires, limited and expanded pre-tests and post-tests using quasi-experimental methods and analyzed by non-parametric descriptive statistical tests, limited and expanded model trials, model effectiveness tests, and homogeneity tests. The results of research conducted in six schools concluded: 1) The implementation of Social Sciences learning was categorized as quite good; 2) The critical thinking skills of students in Social Sciences are quite good; 3) The development of a learning model based on local potential in improving the critical thinking skills of students in Social Sciences has been well implemented; 4) The success of developing a learning model based on local potential in improving students' critical thinking skills in Social Sciences was greatly influenced by internal and external factors; and 5) Development of a learning model based on local potential is quite effective in improving students' critical thinking skills in Social Sciences.
