Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi model pembelajaran sets berbantuan video animasi untuk meningkatkan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V pada materi pencemaran air. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent pretest-posttest kontrol group design, melibatkan dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen yang diterapkan model pembelajaran SETS berbantuan video animasi berbantuan dan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran SETS berbantuan media gambar. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN Jatiroke 1 pada tanggal 18 hingga 22 mei 2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran SETS berbantuan video animasi secara signifikan berkembang keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata nilai pre-test dari 59,29 menjadi 84,29, sedangkan kelompok kontrol hanya meningkat dari 57,75 menjadi 72,25 pada post-test. Uji statistic N-Gain menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata peningkatan kelompok ekperimen (61.76%) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol (35.71%). Selain itu, hasil observasi mengungkapkan bahwa siswa di kelompok eksperimen lebih aktif dan terlibat dalam proses pembelajaran, menunjukkan berpikir kritis dan pemahaman yang lebih baik. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa model pembelajaran SETS berbantuan video animasi lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan berpikir kritis siswa dalam materi pencemaran air. Oleh karena itu, di sarankan agar sekolah mengintegrasikan model pembelajaran SETS berbantuan video animasi untuk meningkatkan berpikir kritis khususnya pada materi pencemaran air. ---------- This study aims to analyze the implementation of the SETS learning model assisted by animated video to improve critical thinking of fifth grade students on water pollution material. The research method used is a quasi experiment with a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design, involving two groups, namely the experimental group that applied the SETS learning model assisted by animated video and the control group that used the SETS learning model assisted by picture media. The research was conducted at SDN Jatiroke 1 on May 18 to 22, 2025. The results showed that the SETS learning model assisted by animated video significantly developed students' critical thinking skills. The experimental group showed an increase in the average pre-test score from 59.29 to 84.29, while the control group only increased from 57.75 to 72.25 in the post-test. The N-Gain statistical test showed that the average improvement of the experimental group (61.76%) was higher than that of the control group (35.71%). In addition, observation results revealed that students in the experimental group were more active and engaged in the learning process, showing critical thinking and better understanding. These findings indicate that the SETS learning model assisted by animated video is more effective in improving students' critical thinking in water pollution material. Therefore, it is recommended that schools integrate the SETS learning model assisted by animated videos to improve critical thinking, especially on water pollution material.
