    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik fase B pada materi hak dan kewajiban serta masih jarang penerapan modul ajar yang bervariatif dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila, sehingga peserta didik belum terbiasa untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas modul ajar berbasis pendekatan saintifik untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep pada materi hak dan kewajiban peserta didik fase B sekolah dasar. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 26 peserta didik fase B kelas III salah satu sekolah dasar negeri di Kabupaten Ciamis. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan nilai rata-rata pre-test adalah 50,40 sementara nilai rata-rata post-test adalah 87,65. Berdasarkan hasil uji perbedaan rerata memperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 artinya H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep peserta didik yang signifikan. Adapun hasil uji perbedaan rerata terhadap skor N-Gain sebesar 0,7744 atau 77,44% berada pada kriteria keefektifan tinggi. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul ajar berbasis pendekatan saintifik efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep pada materi hak dan kewajiban di fase B sekolah dasar. The research was motivated by low ability of students in phase B in understanding the concepts of rights and obligations and the rare application of varied teaching modules in learning Pancasila Education, so that students are not accustomed to actively participating in the learning process. The research aims to determine the effectiveness of teaching modules based on scientific approach to improve the ability to understanding the concepts on material of rights and obligations by elementary school students in phase B. The method in this research used a quantitative approach with pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test design. The sample in this research was 26 of third grade students in phase B from one of the public elementary schools in Ciamis Regency. The results showed that the average score of pre-test was 50,40 while the average score of post-test was 87,65. Based on the results, the average difference test which obtained a significance value of 0,000 < 0,05, which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, shows that there is a significant increase in student’s conceptual understanding ability. And then the results of the average difference test on N-Gain score was 0,7744 or 77,44% are in the high effectiveness criteria. So it can be concluded that the teaching module based on scientific approach is effective for improving the ability to understand concepts on the material of right and obligations in phase B of elementary school.
