    Abstract

    Kesiapsiagaan bencana alam menjadi salah satu pemahaman yang harus dikuasai oleh manusia untuk mampu mencegah risiko dampak yang terjadi pada keadaan darurat seperti bencana alam. Namun, masih banyak siswa yang belum memahami bagaimana cara menghadapi bencana alam yang mungkin terjadi di masa depan. Salah satu faktor penyebab kurangnya pemahaman kesiapsiagaan bencana alam pada siswa yaitu penggunaan media pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan flipbook bencana alam yang berorientasi pada pemahaman kesiapsiagaan bencana alam untuk siswa kelas V SD di Bandung yang layak dan dapat digunakan pada kegiatan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini termasuk pada penelitian Desain and Development (D&D) tipe 2. Dalam tahap analisis ditemukan pentingnya pengembangan flipbook bencana alam sebagai solusi untuk memahamkan kesiapsiagaan bencana alam. flipbook bencana alam yang dikembankan telah divalidasi oleh ahli materi, ahli media, ahli bahasa, dan ahli pembelajaran di SD dengan hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa flipbook bencana alam layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk memahamkan kesiapsiagaan bencana alam. Keterlaksanaan penggunaan flipbook bencana alam dalam pembelajaran menunjukkan hasil yang sangat baik. Hasil N-Gain pre-test dan post-test siswa yang terdiri dari aspek pengetahuan dan sikap, rencana tanggap darurat, sistem peringatan bencana, dan mobilisasi sumber daya alam yang dipecah menjadi beberapa indikator keseluruhan memperoleh nilai skor yang berada pada kategori ‘Tinggi’. Kategori tersebut menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dalam pemahaman kesiapsiagaan bencana alam setelah menggunakan flipbook bencana alam sebagai media pembelajaran. Kemudian, guru dan siswa sebagai pengguna memberikan respon yang sangat baik terhadap flipbook bencana alam yang dikembangkan. Berdasarkan uraian di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa flipbook bencana alam dapat digunakan untuk pemahaman kesiapsiagaan bencana alam siswa SD kelas V; ------- Natural disaster preparedness is one of the understandings that must be mastered by humans to be able to prevent the risk of impacts that occur in emergencies such as natural disasters. However, there are still many students who do not understand how to deal with natural disasters that may occur in the future. One of the factors causing the lack of understanding of natural disaster preparedness in students is the use of learning media that is less varied. This study aims to develop a natural disaster flipbook oriented towards understanding natural disaster preparedness for fifth grade elementary school students in Bandung that is feasible and can be used in learning activities. This research is included in the Design and Development (D&D) type 2 research. In the analysis stage, it was found that the importance of developing natural disaster flipbook as a solution to understanding natural disaster preparedness. The developed natural disaster flipbook has been validated by material experts, media experts, linguists, and learning experts in elementary schools with results showing that natural disaster flipbook are suitable for use in learning to understand natural disaster preparedness. The implementation of the use of natural disaster flipbook in learning shows very good results. The results of the N-Gain pre-test and post-test of students consisting of aspects of knowledge and attitudes, emergency response plans, disaster warning systems, and mobilization of natural resources which are broken down into several overall indicators obtained a score value that was in the 'High' category. This category indicates an increase in understanding of natural disaster preparedness after using natural disaster flipbook as learning media. Then, teachers and students as users gave a very good response to the natural disaster flipbook developed. Based on the description above, it can be concluded that natural disaster flipbook can be used for understanding natural disaster preparedness of fifth grade elementary school students.
