Abstract
Kemampuan membaca pemahaman dalam bahasa Inggris merupakan keterampilan dasar yang penting untuk dikembangkan sejak jenjang sekolah dasar. Hasil observasi terhadap siswa kelas VI di SDS Kristen Pasundan Purwakarta menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan membaca pemahaman mereka masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create (RADEC) berbantuan media Literacy Cloud. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model spiral dari Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata membaca pemahaman siswa dari siklus ke siklus, yaitu 58% pada siklus I, meningkat menjadi 81% pada siklus II, dan mencapai 92% pada siklus III. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model RADEC dengan bantuan media Literacy Cloud efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman bahasa Inggris siswa. ----- Reading comprehension ability in English is an important basic skill to be developed since elementary school. Observations of grade VI students at SDS Kristen Pasundan Purwakarta showed that their reading comprehension skills were still low. This study aims to improve students' reading comprehension skills through the application of the Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create (RADEC) learning model assisted by Literacy Cloud media. The method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) with a spiral model from Kemmis and McTaggart which was carried out in three cycles. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, tests, and documentation. The results showed an increase in the average score of students' reading comprehension from cycle to cycle, namely 58% in cycle I, increased to 81% in cycle II, and reached 92% in cycle III. This finding shows that the application of RADEC model with the help of Literacy Cloud media is effective in improving students' English reading comprehension skills.
