Abstract
Peningkatan mutu pendidikan menjadi prioritas utama dalam pengelolaan sistem pendidikan nasional. Namun, berbagai tantangan seperti rendahnya kualitas supervisi akademik dan kurangnya pengembangan kompetensi guru telah menghambat pencapaian tersebut, terutama di jenjang SMP Kabupaten Bireuen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji model supervisi akademik berbasis intervensi terhadap kompetensi dan kinerja guru sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods dengan desain eksplanatori, sedangkan dalam penyusunan Model pengembangan digunakan pendekatan 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) digunakan untuk menyusun model supervisi yang sistematis dan teruji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi akademik memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kompetensi dan kinerja guru, yang pada akhirnya berdampak pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Model Supervisi ENDAH yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini menekankan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi supervisi yang terintegrasi dengan siklus umpan balik yang berkelanjutan. Model ini mencakup enam komponen utama: analisis kebutuhan supervisi, pengembangan instrumen supervisi, pelaksanaan supervisi, pemberian umpan balik, tindak lanjut, dan evaluasi komprehensif. Implementasi model ini terbukti mampu mendorong guru untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme melalui pelatihan berbasis kebutuhan aktual, refleksi praktik pembelajaran, serta inovasi dalam pengajaran. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa supervisi akademik yang dirancang dengan pendekatan holistik dan strategis dapat menjadi katalisator dalam menciptakan ekosistem pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan relevan. Model Supervisi ENDAH menawarkan solusi yang dapat diadaptasi di berbagai konteks sekolah dengan fleksibilitas tinggi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Deskripsi model ini divisualisasikan dalam kerangka sistem yang memadukan input, proses, output, dan outcome sebagai satu kesatuan integral.
Improving the quality of education has become a top priority in managing the national education system. However, various challenges, such as the low quality of academic supervision and the lack of teacher competency development, have hindered this achievement, particularly at the junior high school level in Bireuen Regency. This study aims to develop and test an academic supervision model based on interventions in teacher competencies and performance to improve the quality of education. The study employs a mixed methods approach with an explanatory design, while the 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) approach is used to develop a systematic and validated supervision model. The results of the study show that academic supervision has a significant impact on teacher competencies and performance, which in turn affects the improvement of education quality. The ENDAH Supervision Model developed in this study emphasizes the planning, implementation, and evaluation of supervision integrated with a continuous feedback cycle. This model includes six key components: supervision needs analysis, development of supervision instrumens, supervision implementation, feedback provision, follow-up, and comprehensive evaluation. The implementation of this model has been proven to encourage teachers to enhance their professionalism through training based on actual needs, reflection on teaching practices, and innovation in teaching. The study concludes that academic supervision designed with a holistic and strategic approach can serve as a catalyst for creating a more effective and relevant learning ecosystem. The ENDAH Supervision Model offers solutions that can be adapted to various school contexts with high flexibility to improve education quality. The description of this model is visualized in a systematic framework that integrates input, process, output, and outcomes as a unified whole.
