Abstract
Antre yang seharusnya menjadi warisan budaya mulai mengalami penurunan praktik di masyarakat. Pada anak usia dini, pembiasaan antre dapat menjadi kegiatan untuk membentuk karakter positif anak. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan pembiasaan antre dan efektivitas reward pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK X Indonesia dan TK Y Malaysia. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus deskriptif pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun teknik analisis data menurut Huberman & Miles (2002) yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasilnya ditemukan bahwa terjadi perbedaan kemampuan antre antar dua negara dan perbedaan strategi reward yang diberikan oleh guru. Ditunjukkan pada TK Y Malaysia, beberapa anak masih menunjukkan kesulitan dalam perilaku antre. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kedua TK antar dua negara telah membiasakan antre secara konsisten, berdasarkan observasi di TK yang diteliti reward berbentuk barang tampak lebih efektif dalam memotivasi anak dibandingkan reward berupa pujian. ---------- Queuing which should be a cultural heritage has begun to experience a decline in practice in society. In early childhood, the habit of queuing can be an activity to form positive character in children. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the habit of queuing and the effectiveness of rewards in children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten X Indonesia and Kindergarten Y Malaysia. The research design used in this study is a descriptive case study of a qualitative approach with data collection of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique according to Huberman & Miles (2002) includes data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusions drawing and verification. The results found that there were differences in queuing abilities between the two countries and differences in reward strategies given by teachers. As shown in Kindergarten Y Malaysia, some children still showed difficulties in queuing behavior. It can be concluded that both kindergartens between the two countries have consistently accustomed themselves to queuing, based on observations in the kindergartens studied, rewards in the form of goods seemed more effective in motivating children than rewards in the form of praise.
